Captain Jason Chambers’ ‘Sassy’ Daughter Reacts to Below Deck Down Under

Captain Jason Chambers may be a Bravo sex symbol. But he is, above all, a family man who is raising an 11-year-old daughter. The Below Deck Down Under star is a staple on the show. By the way, Jason’s still single ladies.

But when he’s not at sea, he’s at home in Bali, Indonesia with daughter Saskia. Captain Jason keeps his star status under wraps at home. And Saskia hasn’t even seen Below Deck Down Under. Until recently. And like any pre-teen, she wasn’t impressed.

BDDU’s Captain Jason spoke of his 11-year-old child, Saskia

The reality TV star revealed to Bravo’s The Daily Dish that Saskia caught up on BDDU reruns while visiting his parents. Jason insisted that Saskia “better not watch” the hit Below Deck spinoff. He felt she was “too young” to be viewing the cast romances and drama. However, Saskia insisted it was “fine.”

“She started watching it for five minutes, and she goes, ‘No, turn it off,'” Captain Jason shared. “I said, ‘I told you.’ She goes, ‘No, your teeth are really bad. … They’re good now since you’ve had Invisalign.”

He added, “She has got a bit of character, bit of sass.”

The father-daughter duo live in Bali, but are originally from Australia. And Jason thinks Saskia has been exhibiting some of that “Australian sarcasm” recently. Overall, she’s had “a lot of changes” in the past year.

“I know that my daughter’s at that age where she’s starting to understand,” the captain shared. “You know, she doesn’t whine when I’m away; she prefers to go into shops by herself.”

Jason praised his “island girl” daughter for her independence. Considering his time on the high seas, their time is limited. But they make it count.

In the past month few months, Jason has been sharing some highlights from his time at home. One Instagram Reel from January 2026, showed off the family enjoying a home cooked meal.

“Last night’s dinner was pasta, and I thought I did alright … even with a tough critic in the house,” he captioned the post. “My final score: 6.7/10. I’ll take it.”

In another video, Jason and Saskia and hamming it up for the camera. He reflected, “She’s growing up fast, and I’m aware enough to know that things change quicker than you expect. So when moments like this show up, I try to enjoy them for exactly what they are and as present as I can. Feels like we’re doing alright so far.”
