Do you remember Meili Workman from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City? Probably not. She was added to the cast in Season 5 as a friend of Whitney Rose. However, she got approximately 10 seconds of screentime. By the end of the season, she had gone completely MIA.
Most of us assumed that she wouldn’t return for Season 6, but Meili recently claimed that Bravo wanted her back. To do what exactly? We’re not sure.
Meili Workman won’t be on the RHOSLC Season 6 cast
Meili vanished from Season 5 shortly after the cast took a trip to Milwaukee. It almost felt like they left her there.
When she stopped popping up on the show, there were plenty of theories about what happened. Some fans suspected that it had to do with Meili’s history of sharing controversial hot takes on social media. Others just assumed it was because she didn’t bring anything to the show.
Either way, Meili claims that Bravo wanted her back. Earlier this week, she did an “ask me anything” on her Instagram Story. Shout out to the “realhousewivesofSLC” community on Reddit, because otherwise, no one would have known about this.
During Meili’s AMA, someone asked if she’d be a part of the upcoming RHOSLC season. That’s when she claimed she received paperwork for Season 6 but refused to sign it.
Of course, we have to take this with a grain of salt. It’s a little hard to believe that Bravo would waste time even writing up a contract for someone whose appearance on the show was so minimal that she didn’t even get a seat at the last reunion. Regardless, Meili’s announcement officially concludes her time with The Real Housewives.
With that, Meili joins Angie Harrington and Danna Bui-Negrete as the short-lived friends of Salt Lake City. Britani Bateman seems to be the only person in Salt Lake City who knows how to successfully leverage the friend spot.
Although Meili won’t be returning to RHOSLC, everyone else from Season 5 is on board. That includes all of the OG cast, who never fall short in the drama department. Lisa Barlow already teased that the new season kicks off with her addressing “unresolved” drama from last year.
