Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars is set to debut this fall. So far, Robert Irwin and influencer Alix Earle are the only cast members who have been named. We will have to wait to find out who else is competing for the Mirrorball and which pros will be returning. Still, the upcoming season has a tough act to follow, coming off a stellar DWTS Season 33.
Who was the winner of Dancing with the Stars 2024?
The Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei and professional dancer Jenna Johnson won Dancing with the Stars 2024. Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher and DWTS pro Alan Bersten finished in second place.
Season 33 was spectacular! Joey Graziadei was the first Bachelor contestant to win DWTS, making ballroom history. No Bachelor ever graced the finale before. However, several Bachelorettes did win DWTS. It all came down to Joey’s commitment to the show. He pushed off planning his wedding to Kelsey Anderson so that he could focus on the competition.
Meanwhile, Joey and his partner, Jenna Johnson, were a great match. They had sizzling chemistry, and Joey was able to showcase both his personality and great technique. He could wow with a sexy rumba, and dazzle with his Tango on Hair Metal Night. He landed on top of the leaderboard for that routine, and also tied for first place three times. Joey was a real crowd-pleaser.
It was neck-and-neck for much of the show between Joey and actress Chandler Kinney and her DWTS pro, Brandon Armstrong. It was somewhat of a shock that Chandler placed third for the season. Most fans expected her to win or at least come in second. However, Ilona Maher’s passion and personality made her a fan favorite.
Still, I’m hoping that the upcoming season will surpass the excitement and energy of Season 33.
