There is no shortage of memorable moments from Season 7 of Love Island USA. And it sounds as if host Ariana Madix would agree. Of course, the coupling and eventual split of Huda Mustafa and Jeremiah Brown kept Islanders and viewers talking.
Plus, couples have been having sex in the villa, reportedly causing production to ask them to cool it. Yet, Ariana remains calm and collected while performing her hosting duties. However, one moment from the season stood out to Ariana, and she is sharing her thoughts about that shocking experience.
Love Island USA host Ariana Madix was “shocked” after a specific moment
“The recoupling when America voted for the bombshells and the moment that I had to dump Charlie [Georgiou], that was really tough,” Ariana told PEOPLE. “I feel like I was reeling from that for – I had to catch up on episodes after that because I wasn’t – I was like, ‘Help, I’m still at the restaurant,’ you know?”
As you may recall, America voted to couple up Charlie’s flame, Hannah Fields, with bombshell Pepe Garcia. And it was right after Charlie and Hannah had a deep conversation. Plus, Ariana was in her feelings watching Hannah explore her new connection, Pepe.
“I was like, ‘I’m not ready yet.’ Because I loved Hannah and Charlie together, watching them, and I felt like I was watching the second coming of The Notebook that night on the monitors waiting to go in,” Ariana explained. “I just was like, ‘I cannot believe we’re about to recouple them.'”
And when the boys in the villa voted to dump Charlie? The Love Island host was “shocked.” She stated, “I truly did not think they would vote him out.” Of course, Charlie shared the same sentiment. “She’s gonna continue her journey now. I think that’s what pains me the most about it is that there’s gonna be so many other guys that get to have their moments now, and mine was robbed,” Charlie said of his time with Hannah.
