Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick are new parents to daughter Kaia. The proud couple just introduced their little bundle of joy to the world. They are in the thick of post-partum life with a newborn baby. And perhaps deciding to have another child is not at the forefront of their minds, but The Valley couple addressed the question in a recent interview.
The Valley viewers just watched their engagement episode in Hawaii. And the Vanderpump Rules alum revealed that she became pregnant two weeks after filming wrapped for Season 2. So it’s come full circle. And it turns out that the couple are open to giving Kaia a sibling.
Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick would “love to have a second baby”
Kristen exclusively told Us Weekly that she’d be open to having another child. The Valley star explained what the options were in terms of her getting pregnant again. For this pregnancy, Kristen had the aid of an intrauterine insemination procedure.
“We’d love to have a second baby, if that’s possible for us. I’m sure we’ll need help again with our fertility doctor. I hope that we’re lucky, but I know what to expect a little bit more next time around,” she shared.
The Valley star continued, “Whatever is in the cards for us is going to happen. One week in, I’m just thinking about Kaia. I can’t imagine not giving her all of my love, affection, and attention. But I also know if we want a second one, we shouldn’t wait a long time to try.”
Kristen had tragically lost a prior pregnancy in 2023 when she was six weeks along. The James Mae founder has been under the care of a fertility doctor, who advised her not to delay too long should she choose to try for a sibling for Kaia.
“I’ve only had one pregnancy and I understand where you’re so grateful and humbled to be a vessel for this baby, but at the same time, you want to be a version of yourself again … I would like my body back and I [like not being] pregnant, but at the same time, I really want a second one,” she revealed.
