Fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County will remember Lynne Curtin as the free-spirited, cuff-designing mom who joined in Season 4. While Lynne chased her passion for leather and tried to navigate a crumbling marriage, her two teenage daughters – especially Alexa Curtin – often landed at the center of drama.
Who could forget when someone slipped the eviction notice under the door while cameras rolled? Or when Alexa clashed with her mom over partying, boys, and boundaries?
In the years since the Curtins left our screens, headlines have featured Alexa a few times for unfortunate reasons. Here’s what we know about her recent drug-related arrest and the events that led to a short stint behind bars.
Alexa spent three days in jail

Alexa Curtin, now 32, served three days of a six-day jail sentence in Orange County after pleading guilty to meth possession. Court records obtained by Us Weekly show she was booked on June 3 after being picked up on an outstanding warrant. She received credit for time served and was also fined just over $200.
This latest arrest stems from an incident in August 2022, when police found Alexa with meth and drug paraphernalia used to smoke or inject substances. Prosecutors charged her with two counts: possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Alexa skipped several court dates, including one in December 2022 and another in August 2023. That same month, a judge issued a $10,000 bench warrant. The Garden Grove Police Department served the warrant in January 2024 but chose not to arrest her.
In April, officers pulled Alexa over for driving with expired registration in April. They cited her for two active warrants and noted she didn’t have a permanent address. They ordered her to appear in court on June 11, but once again, she failed to show.
Anaheim police eventually served her most recent warrant, which landed her briefly behind bars.
Alexa has had plenty of run-ins with the law over the years. Her record includes charges for DUI, petty theft, vandalism, and drug-related offenses. In 2017, she made headlines after winning $2 million in a lawsuit involving an alleged sexual assault by an Orange County sheriff.
As for Lynne, her drawn-out divorce from estranged husband Frank Curtin has stretched over a decade. She filed for divorce in 2012, but the case stalled and was eventually tossed out. She tried again in 2019 but never served Frank the paperwork, and the court dismissed that filing too. As of now, the two remain legally married.
It’s unfortunate to see Alexa still caught in the same pattern of self-destruction. RHOC viewers saw her rebellion and hurt during her teenage years, and more than a decade later, those struggles clearly haven’t gone away.
Season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County premieres tomorrow – Tuesday, July 10 at 9/8c on Bravo. It will stream on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
