If you thought the Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 was going to be all about botox and beach parties, think again, because the real drama is coming straight from the courthouse. Travis Mullen, longtime boyfriend of Gina Kirschenheiter and low-key cast fixture, is suddenly center stage thanks to his increasingly messy divorce and financial disclosures that are raising more than his girlfriend’s well-manicured eyebrows.

While Travis has mostly stayed in the background in past seasons, Season 19 is dragging his personal life to the forefront. And between the court filings, his complicated dynamic with Gina, and the ongoing drama with his ex-wife, Meghan Mullen, there’s a whole lot to unpack. Let’s break down what we know about Travis’ finances and why this divorce is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about storylines of the season.

Divorce documents show Travis Mullen’s finances

The OC court system is open for business and that includes Travis’ financial laundry list getting aired out for all to see. According to recently leaked divorce documents via Us Weekly, Travis is in the middle of a contentious legal battle with his ex, and the numbers aren’t exactly painting a picture of financial bliss. The 39-year-old recently submitted an income and expense declaration, which showed he earned a decent living. He reported that he worked at a genetic testing company as a senior financial analyst. And on the paperwork, he noted he started the job in July 2022, working 40 hours a week. RHOC fans also learned that he takes home a gross pay of $10,164 per month.

Travis graduated from college with a business administration degree. Along with his salary, he also reported that he earned $8,333 per month in “trust income.” Reportedly, Travis listed he has $2,221 in money in the bank and $18,199 in stocks and bonds. While he’s not broke, the documents suggest he’s not exactly rolling in Housewife-adjacent wealth either. His income is being scrutinized, and his ex-wife’s legal team wants a piece of it.

In RHOC Season 19 Travis Mullens and Gina Kirschenheiter moved back in together

The legal documents note that Gina, who lives with Travis, doesn’t pay for any of his household needs, including bills. Fans perked up at this part because Season 18 showed Travis moving out after the divorce got a bit too dramatic. If the financial drama wasn’t enough, Season 19 adds another twist. Travis and Gina have moved back in together after previously taking some time apart. During Season 18, the couple hinted at space. But this season, it’s full-on domestic bliss or at least that’s what they’re trying to sell.

With the divorce dragging out and Travis’s finances under scrutiny, fans are wondering, was the move-in about love or logistics? Let’s not forget that Gina has her own financial history. She’s spoken openly about struggling post-divorce and rebuilding her life with three kids. With Travis back under the same roof. With legal questions swirling, it’s fair to ask how much of this arrangement is about stability versus strategy. However, I’m rooting for love to win in this scenario.

Travis Mullen is still dealing with his ex-wife

Travis’ ex-wife, Meghan, has never appeared on Real Housewives of Orange County. But she has become a shadow presence in Travis and Gina’s storyline. And in Season 19, that shadow is getting darker. In court documents, Travis has accused her of missing two drug tests. He also claimed Meghan allowed one of their son to miss school. The documents read, “Her refusal to take a court-ordered drug test further supports my suspicions that [Meghan] is consuming illegal substances, which could drastically impair her ability to care for our children.” In his filing, Travis also listed out his monthly expenses.

Viewers learned he has been paying “$4,075 a month in rent. $368 in health care costs. $1,000 on groceries. $300 on eating out, $475 on utilities, $111 on his cell phone, $500 on clothes. And $420 on education and $845 on car expenses for a total of $8,094.” Travis has also spent $28,255 on legal fees, and he still owes $8,000. And while Gina has tried to stay out of it, viewers know that’s easier said than done. In confessionals, she’s visibly frustrated that the drama with Meghan keeps bleeding into her relationship with Travis, especially now that they’re living together again. What’s more, Meghan’s legal team has reportedly raised concerns about Gina’s presence around the kids. Don’t be surprised if this family feud takes center stage by midseason.

The Real Housewives of Orange County is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
