The Valley’s Jax Taylor Laments Over Home Changes Made by Brittany Cartwright

As Season 2 of The Valley airs, we are seeing what life was like for Jax Taylor when he was newly home from rehab. While he was away, however, his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, made a few changes to their home. And many of these changes, Jax is not a fan of.

During The Valley Season 2 Episode 14, Jax and Brittany met to chat about all things Cruz, their son. As their conversation progressed, Jax took a pointed look around the house he formerly called home. What he saw made him pause. And then, he spoke up, questioning why Brittany made the changes that she did.

Brittany no longer wants to see images of Jax in their formerly shared home. So, while he was away at rehab, Brittany took down their wedding images. She also removed every picture of Jax, even if they featured their son. In their place, Brittany displayed new photos of her friends and her solo time spent with Cruz.

“Looks like I never even lived here,” Jax stressed. “I know,” Brittany responded, quipping, “That’s the point. There’s not a single photo of you anywhere.”

Her answer confused Jax, so he asked, “Why are you doing that?” Answering him like only a scorned ex can, Brittany replied, “Why would I want to look at your face every day?” Then, the cameras noted their personalized bourbon barrels on the wall now say “Brittany and Cruz” instead of “Brittany and Jax.” Jax noticed this as well, and he was less than pleased.

“Just wipe away ten years—just like that!” Jax commented, snapping his fingers to drive his point home. But Brittany failed to care. She is moving forward, and Jax can decorate his new space however he likes. As can she.

The Valley airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo in the US. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
