Welcome back! This week on Below Deck Season 12 Episode 8, tensions are boiling over, as Anthony teased last week that his frustrations with Fraser were about to be made known. And this week, he proved us all right. However, Fraser has other worries to deal with, as Rainbeau and Solène are still at odds, plus, his heart wants what it likely cannot have in Damo. Here is everything that happened in Below Deck Season 12 Episode 8, “Bad Romance.”

What happened in Below Deck Season 12 Episode 7?

Anthony still believes that Fraser played a hand in his Season 10 firing. So, this week, he finally confronts Fraser, who already feels exhausted thanks to his ever-battling stews. Luckily for everyone, they are all on a brief respite from any charter guests, enjoying two full days off in a private villa. However, once Damo breaks the bro code, all bets are off on the current boatmances this season on Bravo.

The crew works hard to turn over the yacht before their vacation in a private villa begins. Fraser finds Rainbeau, who explains that she is taking on far too much. He is dealing with it, Fraser promises.

Damo radios for Fraser. When they meet in the skylounge, Damo asks Fraser on a date. Fraser says yes.

Soléne finds Bárbara. She needs advice to help discern whom to date, Kyle or Jess. Bárbara smiles in her interview, noting that Solène is immature and that Jess deserves someone who wants only her. Someone like herself, perhaps?

On their date, Damo and Fraser bond. Meanwhile, Anthony speaks with Rainbeau, asking her to tell him everything Fraser says about him. Rainbeau tells him no, as Fraser is her boss.

In his interview, Anthony reveals that last season, Barbie Pascual told him that Fraser got him fired. Now, it is up to Anthony to determine the truth, the chef warns.

Solène tells Jess that it is hard to sleep when Jess is in her bunk. Jess responds with fire, revealing that she knows Solène and Kyle are still making out. Solène admits that she is right.

Luckily, Solène gives Jess permission to kiss others as well. So, Jess heads off to play corn hole with Bárbara.

Back from his date, Fraser sits with Rainbeau. He is thrilled with her work ethic, and he wants to help her succeed, he says. Here, Rainbeau throws Anthony under the bus, letting Fraser know that the chef is angry with him for his firing. In his interview, Fraser sighs about this narrative.

Fraser never wanted Anthony to go, he says. In flashbacks, we see Fraser chatting with Captain Kerry last season, letting his boss know that Anthony was struggling. Fraser only wanted the chef to receive a stern talking to, not a firing, Fraser stresses. Overall, Anthony alone needs to accept the blame for his firing, Fraser declares.

In the morning, the crew heads off to their gorgeous private villa. Once there, Anthony tells Fraser that he is not happy with him. “Then that’s your problem, sweetheart.” Fraser retorts.

Luckily, it is time for the crew to leave for the real Carnivale. Here, Solène and Damo kiss, which surprises Fraser, Kyle, and Jess. Kyle is not a fan of this kiss, confessing in his talking head that he can no longer trust Damo.

Then, Fraser briefly kisses Solène. Quickly, the cameras pan to show Jess and Bárbara also locked in for a spell. Aided by production, Fraser cheekily breaks down all of these chaotic hookup sessions, joking that things are getting messy within this crew.

Back at their villa, Anthony remains confused over his past firing. Also confused is Jess, who admits to Fraser that she enjoyed kissing Bárbara. In her corner, Bárbara is also confessing that she liked their kiss, but she feels bad, as Solène is her friend.

Anthony wants everyone to help cook dinner in their villa. Sadly, only Hugo makes himself available. Once dinner is ready, the understandably frustrated Anthony walks off.

Hugo explains to Fraser that Anthony wanted help. Fraser understands. He and Rainbeau start setting the table. And then, Fraser heads off to find Anthony.

Holding his hands, Fraser tries to console Anthony. But quickly, their voices rise. Anthony pulls out his phone to show Fraser what Barbie said, but Fraser hugs Anthony and shuts down these texts, reminding the chef that he cares for him and is happy to have him back this season. For now, these men are at peace.

In contrast, outside, Solène states that her low point for their last charter was Rainbeau asking her to scrub all the toilets late at night after first telling her to go to bed. Rainbeau calls her a liar. But production airs a flashback, showing Solène is right. Then, Solène throws a fake blow, which she apologizes for, but her proverbial damage lands as intended with Rainbeau.

Later, Jess and Bárbara text about their earlier kiss as Rainbeau tries yet again to make peace with Solène. Her efforts fail, but even while walking away pissed, Rainbeau spots trash and stops to clean, ever the professional stew.

The next day, the crew heads to a beach club. Fraser encourages Jess to move forward with Bárbara. Jess finds Bárbara. They kiss as Solène watches, seemingly not loving the show.

Below Deck continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
