Season 2 of The Valley has been brimming with drama. Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei’s nasty divorce played out amid Jesse’s fury at Michelle’s reported infidelity. Viewers have also witnessed Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor’s marriage unravel.
Their toxic split showed Jax in an unflattering light. Big time. The former couple tried to navigate how best to parent their son, Cruz Cauchi. When Brittany finally filed for divorce, she had Jax served on camera. While that may seem harsh, after watching Jax all season, it seems like the punishment didn’t even begin to fit the crime.
And then we have Janet Caperna. Janet, who is married to Jason Caperna, went from a witty confessional queen to the woman who vigorously stirs the pot. During Season 2 of The Valley, Janet had Danny Booko and Kristen Doute in her sights. And she didn’t let up. So, is Jax Taylor or Janet Caperna the real villain on The Valley? Let’s find out!
Who is the bigger villain on The Valley: Jax Taylor or Janet Caperna?

Jax and Janet’s antics on Season 2 of The Valley have landed them both in the villain category. Otherwise known as Jax’s home base. He was the main villain in Vanderpump Rules from the jump. Plus, he was a contestant on Season 1 of House of Villains.
However, his behavior towards Brittany this season was deplorable. Jax checked into rehab to deal with a cocaine addiction and mental health issues. Still, he blamed Brittany for being there and continued to rage-text her during his entire stay. He destroyed any chance that she had for peace by bombarding her constantly with hateful messages.
Meanwhile, this was Janet’s first foray into villain territory. During Season 2, she made it clear that she was finished tolerating Danny and his drinking. She also went after Kristen when the Pump Rules alum spread a rumor about her hubby, Jason. Plus, the mom needed to be in control of the narrative and tried to give main character energy. Unfortunately, her new persona was a big turn-off for fans.
So, when deciding who is the biggest villain in Season 2 of The Valley, it comes down to an experienced vet versus a scene-dominating newbie. And that is why Jax is The Valley’s bigger villain.
Why Jax is a huge villain in The Valley

Oh, where to begin? Jax landed in rehab after he flipped a coffee table at Brittany, bruising her leg. While in rehab, he convinced the staff that he may be having a cardiac event. His sister was told that he went to the hospital. However, he didn’t. Instead, he manipulated the staff to try and get sympathy from Brittany.
Plus, Jax railed about how Brittany wouldn’t let him see his son when he returned home, but other issues were higher on his to-do list. Apparently, Botox waits for no one. He also tried to gaslight his male friends into thinking that he had changed.
During a recent episode of The Valley, Jax asked Brittany if she really wanted a divorce before having a meltdown because she removed every photo of him from her home. As you may recall, this is the home where Jax spied on Brittany through the camera system while in rehab. That is inappropriate and creepy.
And he also stopped paying the mortgage for months, leaving Brittany in a financial bind. So, Jax may not have considered how the fans felt about his actions. After all, petitions started circulating requesting that Jax be fired from The Valley.
Well, viewers got their wish when Jax announced that he was exiting the show. Jax’s team issued a statement, which read, “After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley. Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting relationship.”
Honestly, Jax’s departure after his chaotic actions this season makes sense. I hope that he actually prioritizes his mental health and makes some changes for his son.
Why Janet is also a Valley villain

Well, Janet was laser-focused on voice-over actor Danny. First, she tattled to the group about Danny taking a swig of tequila while they were in a closed pantry together. She also compared Danny to her ex, who had addiction problems. Then she heavily implied that “Darkside Danny” had an issue with alcohol.
When Kristen found out about what Janet was saying about Danny, she resurfaced a rumor of her own. Namely, that Jason ditched his wedding ring when he went out to bars. While Janet laughed it off, it was enough for her to inject herself into a conversation between Michelle and Kristen. The result? Janet screamed at Kristen for never being accountable. Unfortunately, they were dining at a restaurant during this meltdown.
However, in Maui, Janet went over the line when she accused Danny of sexual assault. As you may recall, on Halloween, a drunken Danny touched Jasmine Goode’s thigh and her fiancée Melissa Carelli’s butt. Of course, Danny apologized to both Melissa and Jasmine, so the issue should have been over.
However, Janet, aka Voldemort of The Valley’s decision to take someone else’s trauma and use it for her storyline rubbed Jasmine, Melissa, and fans the wrong way. Once the social media backlash started, Janet and her family headed over to Switzerland to escape the madness. Sadly, she was also receiving threats over her role in The Valley.
Well, with Jax no longer on the show, Janet could slide into a villain role again next season. That is, if she is still part of The Valley cast.
The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
