Real Housewives of Miami alum Lea Black’s devoted husband Roy Black has died at the age of 80.
Roy, a top defense attorney, died at his Coral Gables home on July 21. Reportedly, he had been ill, but his specific cause of death was not disclosed.

Lea and Roy met during the William Kennedy Smith trial in 1991, when a nephew of JFK’s was accused of rape (he was acquitted). Roy was the defense attorney, and Lea was Juror Number One.
After the trial concluded, the pair ran into each other at a social even and hit it off. They married in 1994 and had one son, RJ, who is now 23. Roy also had a daughter, Nora, from a previous marriage.
Roy was a high-powered civil and criminal defense trial attorney and a founding partner of Black Srebnick law firm. In addition, Roy was a member of the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame. Some of his famous clients include Rush Limbaugh, Kelsey Grammer, Helio Castroneves and Justin Bieber.
For her part, Lea has never been just the wife of a powerful attorney. Lea started her own business, Sudden Youth Skincare Facial in the ’80s, which later became Lea Black Beauty. LBB now features a line of CBD products. She’s also a best-selling author and podcast host (Lunch with Lea).
The self-proclaimed “Mayor of Miami” also occasionally steps back into RHOM to provide counseling services to her friend Lisa Hochstein. Unfortunately, she wasn’t as successful maintaining her friendship with former bestie Adriana de Moura
Roy’s “tribute and celebration of life” are expected to take place sometime in the next few weeks. All of us at Reality Tea extend our deepest condolences to Lea and RJ on the loss of their beloved husband and father.
