Despite ongoing rumors about her show, viewers might see more of Meghan Markle on Netflix. As per sources, the Duchess of Sussex is not going anywhere anytime soon. She is, in fact, in negotiations with the network giant for an extension of her lifestyle brand partnership, As Ever, which could mean a possibility for a third season of “With Love, Meghan.”
Meghan Markle’s show might get an extension on Netflix, experts claim
It’s of public knowledge that the second season of Meghan Markle’s show, “With Love, Meghan,” has already been filmed. The Netflix show is reportedly due for a premiere this fall, but the possibility of a third season has been uncertain. Moreover, rumors were a buzz that Markle’s five-year, $100 million Netflix deal will not be renewed after September. However, that may not be the case.
A few sources have claimed that the Duchess of Sussex is in talks with Netflix to extend the partnership with her lifestyle brand, As Ever. A royal expert, Richard Fitzwilliams, told Fox News Digital that Markle’s “critically panned lifestyle series was watched by over 5 million people.” Hence, the third season of the show may be on the cards for the former actor.
The expert also mentioned that the deal might get impacted based on whether or not “Prince Harry is involved and, if so, in what way.” Since the Duke of Sussex has now shown his eagerness to reconcile with his father, King Charles III, “[there may be] a very different approach from Harry and Meghan,” Fitzwilliams claimed.
Even British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told the outlet that Markle is working on “possibly a first-rights agreement” with Netflix. Chard further added that instead of dropping her, Netflix “would rather hang on to” Markle as they have “invested in her product line.” The streaming giant is “aware that more products can be rolled out,” which can bring in profits.
Additionally, a source revealed to the Daily Express U.S. that “discussions about seasonal specials around Thanksgiving and Christmas linked to her brand” are going on with the “Suits” actor. If Markle is “on board, Netflix is ready to support it.”
