Jennifer Tilly has one season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills under her fabulous belt and she made quite an impression. Not just with her gregarious nature but also with her bold fashion choices. Her philosophy? Life’s too short not to opt for standout picks!
Jennifer, who’s the real life bestie of Sutton Stracke, joined RHOBH like a whirlwind. She and Bozoma Saint John gave new life to the series in Season 14 and easily endeared themselves to the fans. And Jennifer, in particular stood out thanks to her loud and fun fashion choices.

Jennifer spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about how she approached dressing up for RHOBH. And she decided early on that whether it was a big event or an everyday mundane one, she was going to put all the bells on.
“I approached dressing for Housewives as sort of like costumes,” she shared. “I was wearing polka dot Dolce and Gabbana dress with polka dot shoes. There was one where I wore a red and white striped kaftan with red and white striped glasses and a red and white striped hat.”
“I just thought like, the excess makes it fun,” she explained. And honestly, RHOBH filming can be hard, why not have fun while doing it right?
She even admitted that for the more mundane scenes many of the other Housewives would wear jeans, but not Jennifer. “How much more fun is it if you’re wearing something blowing in the wind or gold sunglasses and heels, you know, pumping gas. That way it’s much more of an exciting visual.”
As far as Jennifer is concerned, she isn’t too big on promoting the “I’m the same as you, in jeans and tees” narrative but would much rather showcase her “fabulous, elegant, and strange life.” After all, RHOBH isn’t real life, it is somewhat of a fantasy.
“As long as you’re getting yelled at, you might as well look glamorous while it’s happening,” she concluded with a laugh. And she’s not wrong!
We’re looking forward to seeing more of Jennifer’s gorgeous fashion ahead. She’s teased a powder keg new season that is sure to have tons of glam and probably tons of yelling too.
