Julia Lemigova is losing friends left and right in Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Miami. Her feud with Guerdy Abraira ignited the RHOM drama, but now a squabble with Adriana de Moura is heating up. After a confusing misunderstanding about Julia’s adoption announcement, Julia and Guerdy continued to beef. The result was Julia dousing Guerdy with water.
However, Guerdy had her revenge when she hosted her Celebration of Life. She displayed a text conversation with Julia on the wall, showing that Julia lied about the cruise. While Julia claimed that Guerdy invited herself, Guerdy insisted that Julia begged her to accompany her. Whew! It’s been a lot of drama.
Now Julia’s longtime friendship with Adriana is starting to show some cracks. That is a jaw-dropper because this duo was always close, and even flirtatious at times. Apparently, those days are gone. Julia and Adriana’s simmering resentment is starting to boil in RHOM, and it looks like their differences are a friendship-killer.
Julia Lemigova and Adriana de Moura feud continues on RHOM
The fighting between Julia and Adriana is tough to watch. For the last three seasons, viewers watched their light-hearted and genuine bond grow. They always had each other’s backs and rarely fought. In fact, their closeness was a source of gossip among the rest of the RHOM cast. However, their relationship was strictly platonic. Plus, Julia’s wife, Martina Navratilova, never had any worries about their friendship.
Adriana was usually on the outs with Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, and Marysol Patton. She was always sort of on the outskirts of that clique, and sometimes plotted to get back at Marysol and Alexia. For example, Adriana convinced Dr. Nicole Martin to invite alum Ana Quincoces to her Mamacita brunch. Adriana was planning to have Ana expose details about Alexia’s financial troubles with her now-ex-husband, Todd Nepola.
However, Julia was aware of this plot and never gave Nicole a heads-up. Instead, she had Adriana’s back, even though Alexia and Marysol accused Nicole of orchestrating the chaos. So, even in Adriana’s worst moments, Julia stood beside her.
A major plot point in Season 7 of RHOM has been the shifting friendship dynamics. Larsa was feuding with bestie Lisa Hochstein, while Julia started to hang out with Marysol and Alexia during Season 6. Of course, the fact that Julia embraced the chance to be friends with the duo made Adriana uneasy.
While Marysol and Alexia are unbreakable besties, Adriana and Marysol have never gotten along. Season after season, we have watched them butt heads. For Adriana, watching her best friend join the “cool girls” has been hurtful.
Why Julia and Adriana are fighting
When Julia and Martina decided to adopt two young boys, they notified the RHOM cast via a group Zoom call. Adriana was shocked that Julia didn’t tell her personally. “There has been some distancing between us because she started to get closer to Marysol and Alexia,” Adriana explained.
Later, the ladies went on an overnight yacht trip. Marysol refused to be on the same boat as Adriana, so Julia stayed on the yacht with Alexia and Marysol. A drunken Adriana began to hurl insults at Marysol, which annoyed Julia.
When Adriana and Julia chatted on the yacht, Julia asked why Adriana didn’t leave Guerdy’s Celebration of Life with her. Adriana didn’t support Guerdy’s behavior, but Julia didn’t defend her in New York when Marysol and Alexia claimed that she lied.
Finally, when Stephanie Shojaee announced that she was bringing two guests with her to Seville on her private jet, she chose Julia. Marysol and Alexia refused to go without each other, so that left one seat available. Stephanie was deciding between Adriana and Kiki Barth, and Kiki said to pick Adriana. “Not to mention that my supposed best friend is … on the plane,” Adriana said of Julia.
Then Adriana mentioned how Julia agreed to go with Stephanie without asking her to bring Adriana. “I’m sorry, Adriana, but I don’t think me accepting that invitation makes me a bad friend,” Julia said in her confessional. Buckle up, folks! This powderkeg of hurt and anger is going to explode.
