One of the main teased storylines of this season centers around Kyle and Helen Hoey, a primary charter guest. After her departure, Kyle started bragging to his castmates that they had hooked up. “I f*cked Helen in the water. The whole idea, the whole flotation device, she had the idea in her brain, and she knew what she wanted,” he claimed.
Kyle repeated this rumor following a drunken night out with his crew. With everyone now talking about this mess, Kyle headed to the wheelhouse to face Captain Kerry. In the wheelhouse, Kyle finally admits that “nothing did happen” with Helen.
Needing further proof that Kyle had not blurred any lines, Captain Kerry asked him where this rumor originated. “I said, I might have slipped it in. I genuinely didn’t. But I definitely have said that,” Kyle answered.
Being the thorough man that he is, Captain Kerry then set off to talk to his crew. He needed their validation that Kyle was innocent. Without hesitation, his co-stars let Captain Kerry know that Kyle was likely lying about this claim.
So, after scolding Kyle for being “full of sh*t,” he asks this man one final time, “Did you do it?” In response, Kyle again answers no. Therefore, Captain Kerry allowed him to keep his job, even though the final scenes show Kyle still teasing that, perhaps, he had just lied to his boss.
