Vanessa and Nick Lachey are a Netflix hosting duo. They began their relationship with the network in 2020 when they were announced as the hosts of Love Is Blind, a dating show designed to remove physical attraction from the dating equation. They later signed on as the hosts of another Netflix venture, The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, which premiered in 2022.
Their name eventually became synonymous with Netflix dating shows, so fans were not surprised when Nick showed up in the first episode of Perfect Match, a dating show that premiered on the streaming service in 2023. But fans wondered why Vanessa was not by his side. Curious to know more? We have you covered. Here is why Vanessa is not hosting Netflix’s Perfect Match.
Why is Vanessa Lachey not on Perfect Match?
Vanessa’s absence stems from scheduling conflicts. Ahead of the Season 1 premiere, Nick told People Vanessa “would’ve been great on this show,” but her work schedule did not permit it. She was filming for NCIS: Hawai’i at the time. Her husband said he missed her while filming, but shared he enjoyed the experience of hosting solo.
“I was thrilled to be able to do it by myself,” he said. “There’s something to hosting by yourself, too. I mean, it’s great to be able to dance here with your wife and co-host, but it’s also a lot of fun to be able to do your own thing and not have to worry about stepping on toes or getting a word in or any of that stuff.”
Who’s hosting Perfect Match Season 3?
Nick Lachey is the host of Perfect Match Season 3. Nine episodes are currently available on Netflix. The finale will be available on Friday, August 15. The final episode will crown one couple the “perfect match.” They will receive an all-expenses-paid vacation to a destination of their choice. There will not be a reunion episode for Perfect Match Season 3.
Perfect Match is available to stream on Netflix.
