Prayers up for Tamar Braxton. The reality star and Grammy-nominated singer revealed on Instagram that she “almost died” over the weekend. In the heartwrenching post, the 48-year-old asked for prayers as she begins her healing journey. However, questions remain about what exactly happened to her. Even Tamar doesn’t know.
Tamar Braxton was found in a “pool of blood” by her friend
“I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can’t really talk anymore I’m so weak,” Tamar began on Instagram on Tuesday, August 19.
She continued, “I almost died Sunday. I was found in a pool of blood from my friend with a face injury.”
According to Tamar, she fractured her nose and lost some of her teeth during the ordeal. She said her mobility has also been impacted. Meanwhile, she doesn’t know what happened to cause these extensive injuries. That remains a terrifying mystery.
Tamar continued, “The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend, my mental journey begins.”
Tamar fans know this isn’t the singer’s first brush with death. When she competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2015, she suffered from life-threatening pulmonary embolisms that forced her out of the competition. In July 2020, she attempted suicide, citing the pressure and emotional pain experienced from over a decade in reality television.
This time around, there are many lingering questions surrounding what happened to Tamar. For now, we just know that she needs as many healing thoughts as she can get. Pray for her recovery and perhaps for some answers about who or what caused this.
