Season 7 of Love Island USA featured some surprising couples. One of these slow-burning twosomes was Iris Kendall and Pepe Garcia. The couple managed to come in fourth place in the season finale. Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales won Season 7.
Pepe and Iris were both bombshells who entered the villa at the same time. They were in several different pairings that didn’t work out. However, towards the end of the season, the two realized that their friendship had a spark. While some fans were hoping that this romance would succeed, it now sounds as if that flame has gone out.
Is another Love Island USA Season 7 couple breaking up?
Iris and Pepe were recently in New York City to film the Season 7 Love Island USA reunion. Sadly, it seems as if their love story has come to an end. Pepe and Iris no longer follow each other on Instagram. Oof. Now you know it’s serious.
Plus, while Pepe still has posts on his Instagram featuring Iris, she has wiped Pepe off hers. Iris also hinted at a split in her Instagram Stories. In one Story, she posted a photo of a view of Los Angeles and a hot tub. However, her next post raised eyebrows.
She shared a photo of a sunset, and added the song, Silver Springs, by Fleetwood Mac. The song was written following the chaotic breakup between band members Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Plus, the lyrics talk about a couple’s painful split. So, fans think that Iris was trying to share a hint about her current status.
Neither Pepe nor Iris has officially confirmed the breakup speculation. We don’t know if any issues between Pepe and Iris were discussed during the Season 7 Love Island reunion. In addition, Iris reunited with her former romantic interest, TJ Palma, when she left Fiji.
The Season 7 Love Island USA reunion airs on Monday, August 25th, on Peacock 9/8c.
