There were a lot of things about the Love Island USA reunion that didn’t make any sense, but one of the most baffling moments came from Huda Mustafa. When Andy Cohen asked her about her love life outside of the villa, she claimed that Netflix wouldn’t allow her to discuss it. That comment left everyone confused, and it even earned a response from the streaming giant.
Is Netflix stopping Love Island USA star Huda Mustafa from talking about who she’s dating?

During the Love Island USA reunion, which aired over a month after the season concluded, Ariana Madix and Andy asked Huda about her current love life. Specifically, viewers wanted to know about her relationship with Too Hot To Handle alum Louis Russell. The two soft-launched their romance on TikTok and even went to a movie premiere together earlier this summer. However, Huda claimed that Netflix doesn’t want her talking about it.
“I can’t speak about my relationships outside the villa,” Huda claimed. “Legal reasons. I’m not allowed to speak. It’s Netflix. I’m not allowed to talk about it.”
Andy wasn’t letting that slide. He asked a few follow-up questions about her public appearance with Louis. Huda still claimed that she wasn’t “allowed” to speak about it. At that point, Andy let it slide, but also dropped a little bit of shade.
“Tell Netflix this was the number one streaming show of the summer,” Andy quipped.
Cue the Netflix social media person. Shortly after the reunion aired on Peacock, Netflix responded to the callout by updating the bio on their Twitter/X profile. They quickly updated their bio to read, “DON’T @ ME IDK!!!”
The streamer has since updated its bio, and they’re back to promoting the massively popular movie, K-Pop Demon Hunters. Meanwhile, Love Island fans are still sitting with questions about Huda’s relationship with Louis. Let her speak, Netflix!
Love Island USA is streaming on Peacock.
