Gretchen Rossi is eating her words. Things have heated up on Real Housewives of Orange County, and now the lies are making their way to the light. But instead of making things better, things appear to be getting worse. Now, Gretchen feels like “an idiot” for defending Katie Ginella.
Things were already quite tense between the RHOC girls. While they were in New Orleans, things came to a head at dinner. Stories were told, sides were chosen, and Gretchen and Tamra Judge’s feud boiled over. It ended with Tamra fleeing and “quitting RHOC” for a little while.

But things didn’t end there. While Gretchen came to Katie’s “defense” during the dinner, she quickly backtracked after the results of the polygraph tests the ladies took were revealed. Katie failed spectacularly while Gretchen passed with flying colors.
Gretchen and Gina Kirschenheiter were already mad at Katie after the lunch with Kiki Monique. The radio host’s comments upset both ladies. They were looking for a way to expose Katie. Gina planned with Emily Simpson to spring the lie detector tests on the girls at her party.
Fast forward to Katie failing the test, and all the ladies getting upset. But the suspicious part is that Gretchen passed the test despite having lied about going to the hospital the next day of the Naked Wasted incident. A flashback revealed this. So some results may be questionable.
That didn’t stop Gretchen from being upset with Katie. She took to social media to share her thoughts. In the first post, she said, “Funny how I am the one that passed the lie detector test 100%, but the two proven liars in our group are out doing press, continuing to make up stories about me and Slade.” The caption was on a photo featuring Tamra and Katie.
The next story said, “I feel like an idiot that I actually stuck up for Katie with this group, when they all warned me about Katie and said that she makes up lies.” And finally, her third story said, “She has hurt every single one of us in this group with her lies, and that is why we don’t want to be around her anymore. It has nothing to do with her culture (as she’s spinning in the press).”
So that’s where Gretchen stands now. For her part, Katie is on a pause from RHOC, which may be the best move for her.
