Weeks after Real Housewives of Orange County fans called out Gretchen Rossi for liking homophobic and transphobic posts on Instagram, she has responded to the criticism, denying all wrongdoing. According to Gretchen, all those screenshots were fake, and she’s actually a “supporter” of the LGBTQ+ community.

Some of the bigoted posts that Gretchen allegedly interacted with said that homosexuality “opened the door to pedophilia.” Another post denounced Pride Month. One even claimed that Joe Biden wanted to ensure that children were “castrated.” The far-right posts went on and on, but Gretchen told The Sun that she actually loves the gays.
“It’s my understanding that there is a small group of Housewives fan sites and blogs passing a story around that I allegedly liked highly offensive posts,” Gretchen said. “This is false, those are manipulated screenshots meant to cause harm to my reputation and bring attention to themselves.”
“I firmly stand against any form of hatred and bigotry and have always fully supported the LGBTQ+ community,” she continued.
Although her RHOC co-star branded her the “MAGA Liar,” a source close to Gretchen told the outlet that it felt “mind-boggling” to see the accusations of homophobia and transphobia. Supposedly, she “always surrounds herself” with “many incredibly loving gay friends in her community.”
“People only need to look at all the things Gretchen has done in her life to help make a difference in the gay community,” the insider insisted.
For next steps, Gretchen and her partner, Slade Smiley, have hired a private investigator named Andy Kay. He also spoke to the outlet, and he repeated the claim that the images were “manipulated” and “falsified.”
“These accusations are very dangerous during this heated political climate – and in turn, it threatens Gretchen’s reputation and safety,” the investigator said.
