The opening scene of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6 shows cast members smiling and blowing kisses into the camera. In a voiceover, Mary Cosby says, “True friendship unfolds over time, shaped by hardship, grace, shared memories, and made safe with trust.”
“But when trust is gone,” she continues, “fear takes over.”
Suddenly, the happy smiles, hugs and funny faces are replaced by scary music and a red tint. “Blame points fingers,” Mary concludes. “And friend turns against friend.”
The RHOSLC cast are in the woods in the Season 6 premiere
“Where are we?” someone asks, as the ladies of RHOSLC try to find their way along a dark path using only a flashlight.
Heather Gay says, “Just follow me. I think this is the way home.”
“You guys, this is not safe,” Meredith Marks warns.
“Something does not feel right,” another cast member cautions.
Next we transition into a flashback of Bronwyn Newport rebuking an off-camera cast member: “You never say you’re wrong. You were wrong to say that about Todd.” Of course, the Todd in question is Todd Bradley, Bronwyn’s husband. “Don’t f*cking speak about my family again. God!” she huffs in frustration.
“Can we go?” Lisa Barlow says. “This is crazy!”
Against a backdrop of flashback after flashback, Meredith, Heather, Angie Katsanevas and Whitney Rose argue and accuse each other.
“Don’t gaslight me,” Heather cries. “I did nothing wrong!”
Meanwhile Angie responds, “You’re the one who brought us out here!” Then she adds, “I will not have my reputation questioned!”
“Stop yelling at each other!” someone yells. “This is making it worse!”
What is going on here? Are the RHOSLC girls making a horror movie?
But that’s when Mary continues her voiceover: “And that’s how the witch hunt begins!”
“Why are we here if we’re not friends?” Mary demands of her costars (on-screen this time). “If we all feel the same way, it’s something wrong.”
