When Angie Katsanevas invited her Real Housewives of Salt Lake City castmates to a “Class A Getaway,” they expected to be jetted off to a beach somewhere. What they didn’t see coming was an overnight in an RV campground. And their hostess didn’t even bring condiments for their bunless hot dogs!
According to Meredith Marks, the ladies of Salt Lake had never experienced this level of roughing it. Though this was not Meredith’s first visit to an RV, she’d never overnighted in one. And she did notice one basic amenity that was lacking.
“Don’t travel by RV,” the jewelry designer advised. “[But] if you do, at least have running water in the RV.”
Meredith Marks reveals more of what went down on RHOSLC’s RV camping trip

“That was my first time sleeping in an RV,” she told Bravo’s Daily Dish. “I have been in an RV before, like going to an event or something like that, but never slept in one. So, that was definitely not something I was needing to do.”
Even though their campout at the Provo Canyon RV park was pretty basic, Meredith came through the experience with grace. “It was fine,” she laughed. “I survived. So that part of it was interesting.”
But late that night, after toasting hot dogs and smores over the campfire, Heather Gay gave them all a refresher course on Molly Sorensen. According to Heather, Molly was “a fundamentalist Mormon that made it her mission to find girls [who were “sinning” with their boyfriends] … She would kidnap them, and then sacrifice them.” Sounds like a tale told to freshman girls at BYU to keep them in line.
But earlier in the day, their kayaking guide had confirmed sometimes hearing “screams all throughout the night” in the canyon. He also mentioned that “some people come up missing” in the area.
So Heather decided they should go looking for Molly in the dark, armed only with the camcorders Angie had gifted them all. It wasn’t long before all the women where as nervous as a bunch of middle schoolers telling ghost stories at a slumber party.
“I have no phone reception, I have no nothing,” Meredith cried at one point. “I just wanna go home.”
“Where are we?” someone asked in the dark.
“Just follow me,” Heather said. “I think this is the way home.”
“Something does not feel right,” someone else worried.
Suddenly, Meredith’s camcorder went dark, as someone screamed. So dramatic, RHOSLC! At least nobody ended up with a black eye this time.
Fortunately, everybody got home safe and sound, but it will be a long time before they trust Angie to plan another getaway. In Meredith’s words, the whole event was just “creepy.”
“[It] felt like a horror movie,” she concluded.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
