The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Halloween Has Celebs Facing Their Fears

The holiday season is right around the corner, and that means it’s time for some holiday specials! The Great American Baking Show is getting into the spooky spirit with their very first Halloween special. A group of celebrities will be tasked with baking some treats to be judged on. And the trick is that they will also have to face their greatest fears. What could go wrong?

Patton Oswalt, Leslie Jones, Rachel Dratch and Adam Pally will compete on the show

The Great American Baking Show is a spin-off from the original Great British Baking Show. But don’t fret, both Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will still be judging the contestants. And I’m sure they’ll be up to their usual shenanigans. Like the time Prue said something so shocking Paul actually walked off set

While Paul and Prue joke around, several celebrities will be put to the test to bake some hauntingly delicious Halloween treats. And the lucky celebs are Patton Oswalt, Leslie Jones, Rachel Dratch, and Adam Pally. This motley crew are all famous for their comedy, so this special should be one for the books.

However, the celebs might not be laughing too much when they have to face their fears as part of the challenge. PEOPLE reported that hosts Andrew Rannells and Casey Wilson told the group it was time for some “exposure therapy” regarding their biggest nightmares.

Rachel admitted her fear was monsters under the bed, while Patton dreaded quicksand. Leslie shared her fear of clowns. Casey said, “Your fears were of clowns growing up, and I don’t know if you know, but there is a specific type of therapy that has worked for a lot of people, which is exposure therapy. Kind of like, looking at a clown and seeing if you can handle it in small doses.”

Then Andrew donned a clown mask and started to dance around to scare Leslie. But that backfired. Leslie joked, “If you dance like that, I actually wouldn’t be too scared.”

It will be interesting to see what Halloween treats they cook up and if anyone gets the infamous Hollywood handshake.

The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Halloween premieres on Wednesday, October 1st, on The Roku Channel.
