Kim Kardashian’s Lawsuit Against Ray J Is for Reasons Other Than Money, Says Source

Kim Kardashian is again in the middle of a controversy. But this time, she is willing to fight tooth and nail against Ray J. As for those who believe, the reality TV star has filed the defamation lawsuit for money, according to sources, that’s far from reality. With the suit, the actress and her momager, Kris Jenner, just want to end the singer’s “obsession” with Kim’s name.

Kim Kardashian is going all out to fight against Ray J. The reality TV star has recently filed a defamation lawsuit against the R&B singer, not for money, but to end his “obsession” with her name. “Kim doesn’t need a dime from Ray J,” an insider clarified to #ShuterScoop. “She’s a billionaire. What she wants is peace of mind and an end to his obsession with her name.”

The 44-year-old songwriter grabbed headlines once again when he reportedly claimed during a livestream that “the feds is coming” after the SKIMS founder and her mother. He added that they are prepping a RICO case against them. However, their legal team deemed his claims as “malicious lies,” stating, “No such federal investigation exists.” The lawsuit says Ray J’s comments are part of a “sustained campaign of harassment and defamation.” It further states that this has gone on for years.

The mom and the daughter sued Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend and filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court last week. As per AP News, the lawsuit stated that “Unable to accept the end of his fleeting relationship with Ms. Kardashian over twenty years ago, Ray J has repeatedly sought to attach himself to Plaintiffs’ names and exploit their prominence for personal gain,” referring to their 2007 s*x tape.

“This lawsuit is about putting a stop to harassment, full stop,” a source close to the family told Rob Shutter. Their attorney, Alex Spiro, also confirmed the same. He stated that with the lawsuit, the mom and daughter want to protect their reputations and emotional well-being. They aim to do so by silencing the singer.
