Kyle Richards and her then-husband Mauricio Umansky bought their sprawling Encino mansion back in 2017. At the time they still had children at home. Now two of her daughters are grown and gone, while their two youngest remain at home. But it won’t be long until their baby, Portia Umansky, heads off to college.
Now that Kyle and Mauricio are separated and he has his own place, does Kyle really want to live in that big house all alone? Rumors are circulating about whether the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has already sold up and moved on.
But is there any truth to those rumors?
Kyle Richards reacts to rumors she unloaded the Encino home
On October 6, Kyle posted an Instagram Story confronting the rumors that she had sold her home. Standing on her front steps wearing an LA Dodgers hat, the Halloween actress shut down the gossip.
“So a number of people have reached out to me,” she said. “[They’re] saying that they heard that I sold my house and that I moved.”
“That is just not true,” she explained. “I’m still here. My house is actually not for sale, and I don’t know where they come up with these things … But no, I did not sell my house.”
Meanwhile, Kyle’s nest is not yet empty. Even though Portia will leave for college in the fall, Sophia Umansky is still at home for now.
Likewise, in May she told The Daily Mail that she’d be interested in “going off the grid.”
“I’ve been telling my friends lately, ‘That’s it, I’m moving to a farm,'” she said. “I’m going off the grid. I’m going to live off the land, and I don’t want to go on any social media.”
