As the world mourns the passing of Diane Keaton, many of her co-stars are sharing memories of her. One of those remembering the beloved actor is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Jennifer Tilly.
Jennifer, who worked alongside Diane in the movie Sister Mary Explains It All, had nothing but praise for her co-star. “Diane was so warm and wonderful,” she wrote on X. “[She] had a great sense of humor. I loved working with her.”
“I still have the beautifully engraved bible that she gave me as a wrap present,” she added. “She was a truly unique individual. Such a loss.”

Not much is known about Diane’s passing. On October 11, People exclusively reported her death in California. “There are no further details available at this time,” a spokesperson said. “Her family has asked for privacy in this moment of great sadness.”
In response to Jennifer’s X tribute, X user The Academy replied, “Some actors play emotions. Diane Keaton lived inside them … For decades, she filled every frame with warmth, wit, and wonder. A Best Actress Oscar winner and four-time nominee, her presence shaped generations of storytelling. Her spirit will live forever on screen, and in the hearts of all who saw themselves in her.”
Another X user, John Sizemore, shared a more personal story. “I waited on her in Boston when I was going to Northeastern,” he wrote. “I was always a fan, it was spring break and I was headed to Ft. Lauderdale the next day. I guess she overheard me and left a $500 tip, and said enjoy your life. It really touched me.”
One of the most beloved actresses of all time, her big break came in 1972 with the release of The Godfather. She played the role of Michael Corleone’s wife Kay.
Following that, she won the Oscar in 1977 for the role that some people believe defined her: Annie Hall. Her iconic signature style included shirts and ties, snappy waistcoats and baggy trousers. And hats. No one wore a hat better than Diane Keaton.
