Dancing with the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko is entering a new era. Before the Season 34 cast was announced, Gleb hinted that he had been let go. Plus, the addition of new pro Jan Ravnik further fueled speculation that Gleb was out.
As you may recall, Gleb dated his Season 33 DWTS partner Brooks Nader. And their messy split, amid rumors that Gleb cheated, added to the notion that Gleb wouldn’t be in the ballroom this season. However, Gleb made the cut and was paired with Hilaria Baldwin. Now, Gleb is sharing why he isn’t hitting the stage for the DWTS Live Tour.
Gleb Savchenko won’t join the next Dancing with the Stars live tour
While Hilaria and Gleb’s pairing may have been controversial, the duo’s time in the ballroom ran out on Disney Night. And Gleb was happy to note that there was “zero drama” dancing with Hilaria.
As for passing on the DWTS Live Tour? “It’s a transition. It’s nice to have a great season,” Gleb told US Weekly. “I’m not going on tour. I’m gonna go see my kids – my girls that live in Hong Kong – for a few weeks over the holidays, and I’m just focusing on myself.” Gleb shares his 14-year-old daughter, Olivia, and eight-year-old Zlata with Elena Samodanova, his ex-wife.
“A lot of people don’t know this about me, but I’m actually very spiritual. I meditate every single day,” Gleb shared, adding that he was “excited” about attending a retreat in December. In addition, Gleb is also focusing on acting. “I’m focusing on myself. I’m auditioning,” the dance pro stated. He continued, “I’m in the Lesly Kahn School for Acting. I’m taking it very seriously.”
In fact, DWTS fans might see Gleb on the soap opera General Hospital, as he has had a couple of auditions. There is no word on whether Gleb hopes to return to the ballroom next season.
Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It will stream on Hulu the next day.
