Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City kicked off with the ladies loading onto an RV for a road trip. Lisa Barlow was noticeably absent, and that seemed to coincide with rumors we heard earlier in the year that she had delayed filming. Supposedly, she was holding out for more money and negotiating with Bravo.
On the show, Lisa said that she missed the RV trip because she had a work event. So, was there more to the story?
Lisa Barlow says she knows “what is appropriate for my pay grade”

After months of speculation, Lisa finally addressed the rumors about holding out for more money ahead of RHOSLC Season 6. She spoke with Us Weekly, and she claimed there wasn’t actually a contract dispute holding things up.
“You think I’m gonna negotiate with Bravo for more money? I mean, come on,” she told the outlet. “I know what is appropriate for my pay grade and not — and that’s not it.”
On RHOSLC, Lisa claimed she had to skip the RV trip due to “a work thing.” She went to a couple of movie premieres because, after all, she’s the Queen of Sundance. According to Lisa, it felt important for her to have that time, even if it meant missing the premiere episode.
“I needed to feel like me again. I think we all sacrifice different things for the show,” Lisa said. “It was super important that I am always being true to myself. I feel like over the last six years, I’ve given up things that I love to do.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Lisa also addressed the ongoing rumors about her businesses and the lawsuits surrounding them. She brushed all of that off, too. It’s clear that she’s not holding space for any of these stories that are swirling around about her this year.
“Sometimes people think allegations are evidence. Allegations are what you do in a lawsuit,” Lisa said, dismissing her legal troubles.
“You throw everything in and the kitchen sink,” she continued. “You allege anything and everything you can think of, especially when you have a case where you don’t have a document.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. Stream it on Peacock.
