Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6 is truly incredible television, and could be Whitney Rose’s best year on the show yet. Whitney is one of four OGs to remain on RHOSLC for all six seasons. But in comparison to Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, or her cousin Heather Gay, Whitney came up short in some viewers eyes. This season, however, Salt Lake City’s Wild Rose is starting to come into her own. And fans have more respect and appreciation for her than ever. Here are the reasons Whitney wins over more and more RHOSLC viewers every week in Season 6.
How Whitney Rose is winning over RHOSLC fans in Season 6

There’s so much to love about RHOSLC Season 6 so far. Every cast member delivers. No wonder US Weekly crowned the RHOLSC Housewives as Reality Stars of the Year.
In the past, many RHOSLC fans considered Whitney the show’s weakest link. But this season, reactions indicate a change of heart. In Episode 5, Whitney’s event made for an instant classic. Some deemed it one of the best Real Housewives episodes ever. And the entire thing was set at Whitney’s wine testing/tarot reading. But providing a great setting for an episode is not the only reason she’s on a winning streak. If she keeps this up, RHOSLC Season 6 could be Whitney’s best by a country mile.
RHOSLC fans praised Whitney Rose’s tough conversation with Britani Bateman
Clearly, it’s not an easy task to try and get through to Britani Bateman about her disastrous relationship with “best friend”/ex-fiancé Jared Osmond. So RHOSLC fans had to give serious props to Whitney for putting in her best effort.
When Hayu posted the clip on Instagram, multiple people commented that they were “so proud” of Whitney for this conversation. Others praised her as a “real one” and a “good friend.” One person wrote, “this is the season where we realise @whitneywildrose is the best HW in SLC.”
Whitney tried to help Britani and convince her to take a break from Jared to focus on her daughters. However, the break lasted 24 hours instead of 30 days. In the following episode, Whitney told Britani that Jared accused her of gold digging behind her back. Once again, Whitney gave Britani the tough love she needs, even if it goes in one ear and out the other.
Whitney Rose’s honesty about her business failure was refreshing

In the RHOSLC Season 6 premiere, Whitney surprised her co-stars and the viewers with the way she addressed rumors about her brand Wild Rose Beauty. Instead of getting overly defensive or pretending everything was fine, Whitney outright admitted her business failed. She didn’t make excuses or shift blame, she just owned up to it. She also didn’t sugar coat things on Watch What Happens Live. Instead, she revealed the staggering amount of money she lost in this business venture.
We’re not accustomed to this type of honesty on Real Housewives. And it sets Whitney apart from those Salt Lake City Housewives who never want to indicate if things are less than perfect. Plus, by owning up to her business failure from the jump, Whitney ensured her co-stars can’t use the rumors against her. Also, we have to shout out that face she made when Britani tried to hug her.
Much has been said about reality TV stars who try too hard to keep up appearances. Some even theorize that’s why certain Housewives allegedly commit fraud. But Whitney’s transparency about her failures shows there’s another, better way.
More RHOSLC fans are siding with Whitney amidst the Lisa Barlow drama
By contrast, RHOSLC Season 6 is far from Lisa Barlow’s best. Week after week, Lisa finds herself at odds with at least one co-star. But Whitney isn’t intimidated by Baby Gorgeous any more. This was evident at that disastrous lawsuit lunch. There, Whitney did something we see all too rarely on Real Housewives. When she realized things were too heated and nothing good would come of it, Whitney left the room to cool off. Emotional regulation on Real Housewives, who would’ve thought!
Responding to the episode on social media, Whitney also chastised herself for overreacting when she thought Lisa called her a “redneck.” However, she simultaneously reminded viewers that what Lisa actually said was also wrong. Lisa called Whitney “redhead” as an insult. Whitney reminded people that she dyed her hair in solidarity with her daughter, who was getting bullied over it at school.
Fans also praised Whitney for repeatedly trying to get Angie and Lisa to cool it during their nonstop battle at her event. While she’s been accused of immaturity in the past, Whitney was one of the few adults in the room this time. Despite their differences, Whitney praised Lisa recently as well. If she continues to come out on top in this feud, it would really cement RHOSLC Season 6 as her best yet.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is available to stream on Peacock.
