The drama continues on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and Whitney Rose’s wine tasting bore the brunt of the latest chapter in the Angie Katsanevas and Lisa Barlow feud. The girls got into it, and fallout hit everyone.
At this point, it’s hard to see who is coming ahead in this feud. It seems to have devolved into a merry-go-round of insults as the girls try to one-up each other. And it doesn’t look like it’s going to end any time soon. The two viciously fought at the wine tasting, resulting in Lisa dropping the mysterious insult, “What about ‘Soup (?) Man, b*tch?!”
Is “Soup Man” actually “Suit Man” who used to date RHOSLC’s Angie Katsanevas?
Naturally, this insult surprised everyone into a moment of silence. Who was this mysterious “Soup Man?” Did Lisa actually say soup? Or did she say “suit?” While the ladies pondered the meaning of this, the Bravo sleuths online got to work, and boy, did they deliver.
According to a Bravo Reddit, the term “Suit Man” allegedly originated from the Call Her Daddy podcast. This was back when Alex Cooper still did the show with her friend Sophia Franklin. Sophia’s boyfriend at the time was referred to as Suit Man and he was supposedly an HBO executive.
Eventually, the friends split up on their own podcasts, with Alex retaining Call Her Daddy. For her part, Sophia launched her own podcast. In 2023, Sophia had Meredith Marks as a guest on her podcast and told her that her ex-boyfriend (Suit Man) used to date Angie K.
Now, Suit Man is allegedly in his 40s, and Angie has been married for 25 years. So, is it possible they dated while she was still single? It’s possible. But the math isn’t mathing like it should. Also, why would the mention of him be a grenade for Lisa to throw into their fight if that was the case? The only reason is that Lisa is alleging that Angie and this Suit Man had an affair. It does fit in with Lisa weaponizing any dirt she manages to uncover.
Angie went into full re-direct mode, running with Soup Man and freaking out over “soup” and not “knowing anyone who sells soup.” Honestly, it did seem a little over the top for someone who is innocent.
I wonder if Angie is still feeling guilty about fighting with Lisa now? We’ll have to wait and see if we hear more about Soup/Suit Man, but for now, everyone is feeling the fallout of the fight, and Mary Cosby tells Angie she’s just done with her.
