It’s Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Potomac, and not much has changed for Stacey Rusch. The girls, especially Ashley Darby and Gizelle Bryant, are still coming for her, and she’s still the proverbial “punching bag.” Tamra Judge of Real Housewives of Orange County has some thoughts on that.
It’s pretty ironic that Tamra thinks the girls from RHOP are too harsh on Stacey, considering that bullying is pretty rampant on RHOC, too. But hey, the kettle calls the pot black all the time. This time, Tamra thinks that the RHOP girls are being unfair.
Is Stacey Rusch held to a higher standard than the rest of the RHOP cast?
To be fair, fans always wondered if Stacey was too nice to be part of RHOP. For the most part, she just lets things slide. And anyone who knows the Housewives franchise knows that if you don’t fight back, you’ll get eaten alive.
Which is what the girls seem to be doing to Stacey now. On an episode of their podcast Two T’s in a Pod, Tamra (hilariously wearing a “That’s My Opinion” ball cap) shared her thoughts on Stacey.
“They hold Stacey to a totally different standard,” she said. “They don’t, I mean, they don’t like her.” And she may not be too far off the mark. But that seems to be the Housewives’ way. Almost all the ladies have done some shady things, but only some of them are held accountable and thrashed for it. (Hello, Katie Ginella and the infamous lie detector test!)
“I could see why she gets on their nerves,” Dolores Catania replied. “When they speak to her sometimes, the way they speak to her, and she just sits there and goes …” Dolores and Tamra mimicked the way Stacey just laughs things off.
That may actually be true as well. Ashley Darby feels like she’s being tricked by Stacey, but the truth could be simply that Stacey is oblivious as to how she’s impacting these girls. From her (potentially paid) situationship with TJ Jones to her divorce and reconnection with Thiemo Rusch, the RHOP girls don’t know what to believe.
“Leave it to Stacey to try to be cool and fight and then say the wrong thing,” Dolores quipped.
Catch The Real Housewives of Potomac Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo. The show streams on Peacock.
