DWTS Star Robert Irwin’s Wicked Dance Scores Leaves Fans ‘Disappointed’

Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars just gifted fans one of the best theme nights – ever. The ballroom was transformed for Wicked Night, and the contestants left it all on the dance floor. However, conservationist Robert Irwin’s scores are being called out by DWTS fans.

Robert has been one of the frontrunners all season, along with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast member, Whitney Leavitt. For Wicked Night, Robert and his partner, Witney Carson, performed a dazzling, Broadway-worthy jazz routine. Robert embraced his inner Fiyero as he danced his heart out. Yet, the duo failed to earn a single 10 from the judges.

Robert and Witney even danced on books, which looked very dangerous and slippery. While they earned a nine from each of the four judges, Whitney and her partner, Mark Ballas, nabbed the first 10s of the season for their quickstep, landing them in the top spot on the leaderboard. That left Robert tied with Olympian Jordan Chiles and her pro, Ezra Sosa, for second place.

According to the Daily Mail, DWTS fans were not happy and voiced their displeasure on social media. “Disappointed, that was the most deserving dance of a 10 mixed with that choreo … like what was even missing?!” one user wrote.

Another fan posted, “Robert deserved the first 10 of the season.” A third user added, “Robert Irwin robbed AGAIN – like that was literally Jonathan Bailey.” And another fan wrote, “How did he not get at least 1 ten??? He got no corrections or negative feedback? Like, what does it take for a ten this season?”

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time that Robert has created a ballroom buzz on the internet. His shirtless salsa routine landed him an offer as a celebrity guest host at Chippendales. However, Robert politely declined.

Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It will stream on Hulu the next day.
