Welcome back, Below Deck Mediterranean fans! Last week, Captain Sandy told Nathan to fire either Christian or Tessa. But after Nathan makes this cut, a surprising face reappears. So do their new guests, who threaten to give everyone a run for their tip money, as seen on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 5, “Let the Games Vegan.”
What happened in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 5?

Multiple changes are happening on the deck team. But these changes will also affect the interior. Meanwhile, Josh is struggling, thanks to his incredibly particular guests. But once a familiar face from Season 9 returns, things take a turn for the better, minus a love triangle that might turn everything upside down again.
Nathan fires Tessa and Christian as Joe Bradley returns to Below Deck Med

Both Tessa and Christian are getting fired, Nathan decides. Captain Sandy calls Christian to the bridge. He takes it well, and in his confessional, he keeps this same energy.
Tessa also remains professional. But in her confessional, she curses at Captain Sandy and blames Nathan. Captain Sandy texts the mainland, looking for two new deckhands as Tessa and Christian depart. She also sends a Hail Mary text to someone she “loved working with” before.
When they don’t answer, she sends a similar text to someone else, but this yachtie is busy. Trying one last time, Captain Sandy types a third message, but this crew member is only free for three weeks. Finally, her first choice responds. They are free, and they can join the yacht tomorrow.
Captain Sandy calls Nathan and Aesha to the bridge. Joe Bradley from Season 9 is coming back. Aesha and Nathan are ecstatic. Nathan’s bromance is back on. But his team still needs another deckhand.
Kizzi encourages V to take this spot. V finds Nathan. V is green, so Nathan decides to chat about it later with Captain Sandy.
Joe finds himself in another love triangle

Kizzi shows Max a picture of her boyfriend. She also asks Nathan about Joe, like, will he love V? But really, Kizzi jokes, she wants everyone to love her more.
Norma from yacht services can’t find another deckhand. Things are looking up for V. But Aesha might need to help prop Josh up soon, since a solid foreshadowing is happening in their corner. When guests send their plates back, he hates that, he says.
Kizzi asks Aesha if it was a bad idea to come on board with a man, since she likes Max and Nathan. “This is your life,” Aesha says.
The next morning, Captain Sandy moves V to a deck-stew role for the next charter. V’s thrilled.
A black Sprinter van arrives. Out pops Joe, already calling for Nathan. Like a romance film set in a field, they sprint towards each other, complete with slowed-down effects and background music.
Joe is here “to absolutely smash it” this season. Speaking of smashing things, V is feeling Joe, and he finds her “stunning.” But then he spots Kizzi, and another instant crush forms, making Joe realize that he’s tiptoeing towards another love triangle this season.
Josh struggles with vegan guests

Two vegans are coming on board. Also, it’s stormy, so the yacht can’t leave the dock. V and Joe will keep their guests busy with a land-based excursion instead. “Buenos días, guapo,” V flirts, making Joe smile.
Max motorboats Joe. All’s well here. Captain Sandy visits Josh, saying, “This charter will be easier.” Again, this feels like foreshadowing.
But Josh used to live in “a hippy commune” with vegans. So he’s got this.
In the crew mess, Kizzi flirts with Joe in front of V. “Isn’t that interesting?” V asks.
The guests arrive. They are “very picky.” They have nothing to fear, because Josh is increeeedddiiibbbllleeee, says Aesha.
Max works hard while Nathan and Joe bond over a keyboard and two hobby horses. But Captain Sandy still draws the worst straw. She has to tell their guests that the yacht’s staying at the dock tonight.
Thankfully, they take this news well. But at lunch, their patience dies. They are hungry, but not for any of Josh’s “greenery.” Several want him to fry his oysters, while others ask for “a vegan wrap,” “fries,” and “barbecue lobster.”
Josh keeps his cool. But in his clown attire, he screams, admitting, “This is a f*cking nightmare.” Making things worse, Carlos, one of his vegan guests, is now standing in his galley, asking for a word.
Josh plays nicely. And then he plays his guitar while singing about his wasted talents. Getting ahead of their next meal, he asks his guests if they want family-style or plated dishes next. They want family, with maybe some “mashed potatoes,” “fries,” “pasta,” “fish,” “chicken wings,” “vegan options,” and “snapper.”
Josh walks off the yacht

Joe and V take their guests ashore. V has come alive. I’ve never seen her giggle this much before. As she intentionally points out her butt with bedroom eyes, Joe recalls Kizzi in his talking head, and he realizes that another love triangle is happening.
Back on board, Kizzi admits that Joe is “beautiful,” but she has a man. Nathan asks, “You’re horny, basically?” She is. And she is “gonna ruin the deck team.”
The guests return. Aesha gives them Jello shots. Carlos can’t have his because Jello has pork in it.
Nathan watches V throw a line. He’s impressed. But are the guests impressed with their supersized dinner? Yes, minus Carlos.
Josh listened. He offered fewer greens. Guess what Carlos now wants?
“I can’t right now,” Josh sighs. Then, he puts on his shoes and walks off the yacht.
Below Deck Mediterranean continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock.
