Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party at Jeff Bezos’ Beverly Hills estate included Prince Harry and Meghan Markle among the celebrity guests. Jenner reportedly later deleted photos featuring the couple. A source says Markle, who closely manages her public image, asked for their removal after feeling the pictures were unflattering and allegedly “threw a fit”.
Meghan Markle realized ‘how bad she looked’ compared to other women, per source
Kris Jenner recently marked her 70th birthday with an elaborate James Bond–themed celebration at Jeff Bezos’s Beverly Hills residence, drawing a high-profile guest list that included Chris Rock, Oprah Winfrey, Adele, Snoop Dogg, and Justin Bieber. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined the festivities, arriving hand in hand as photographers captured their entrance.
Reportedly, Harry wore a black tuxedo adorned with a red poppy pin in recognition of the upcoming Remembrance Day in the United Kingdom. Markle chose a black turtleneck paired with a silk skirt. Images circulated from the event showed Markle without a poppy, a contrast noted by observers because of the significance of the date for British veterans.
According to The Daily Mail, two days after the party, Jenner shared a photograph featuring herself with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Kim Kardashian also uploaded several candid images, including one with Markle, another showing Markle greeting a senior Netflix executive, and a third of her speaking with Jenner. Shortly afterwards, all of the photos featuring Markle and Harry disappeared from the Kardashian accounts.
According to reports shared by UK journalist Alison Boshoff, representatives for the Sussexes indicated that guests had been informed they needed permission before sharing images publicly, and that Harry and Markle had declined. However, sources close to Jenner told Boshoff that no such guidance had been communicated before posting. Jenner later received a request, reportedly originating from the Sussexes, asking that the images be removed.
A Montecito-based source familiar with the situation said that Meghan Markle is highly selective about photographs released publicly and typically expects to review them in advance. The source stated that she felt she compared unfavorably to other women and realized “how bad she looked.”
