Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars is drawing to a close. It has been an amazing season with thrilling performances, great theme nights, and the one-night-only return of Tom Bergeron. Plus, four couples earned a perfect score last week. And this week was the semi-finals, baby! The Beautiful Ones took to the ballroom to celebrate the work of musical genius Prince. And I’m wearing my purple lace gloves right now. Don’t judge.

This week, each couple danced twice. They danced in a new style, and one that they had danced before. This routine showed the judges how much they had grown and improved. Each of the remaining competitors wanted a chance to dance in the finale and have a shot at taking home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

Last week, during DWTS’s 20th birthday celebration, fan favorite Andy Richter and his partner, Emma Slater, were eliminated. Viewers will miss his humor, his heart, and his love of dance.

What happened in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 10?

The opening number to Let’s Go Crazy, choreographed by Luam Keflezgy, was fire! I loved the energetic and sexy performance. Once again, co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough performed with the DWTS pros and troupe.

This week, viewers were served a smorgasbord of dance styles. The cha-cha, Viennese Waltz, jive, tango, Argentine Tango, foxtrot, and Paso Doble were all a feast for the eyes. Add in the music of Prince, and it was a royal bash in the ballroom.

I must say that the judges were tough on all the couples during the first round. However, the level of talent this season is amazing, and the race for the Mirrorball is tighter than ever before.

Who was eliminated in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 10?

Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas were eliminated in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 10!

Whitney Leavitt and her partner, Mark Ballas, were in the bottom two with Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa. In Season 34’s most shocking elimination, Whitney and Mark were sent packing.

The couple’s cha-cha to Prince’s 1999 was fresh and flirty. While judge Derek Hough called it “literal perfection,” Carrie Ann Inaba said that she could see Whitney “focusing on the technique.” The pair earned 29 out of 30 points.

Meanwhile, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star’s Viennese Waltz to Slow Love impressed the judges. Carrie Ann once again mentioned a “bit of a hop,” while Bruno Tonioli called it “impeccable.” They earned another 29 out of 30, landing them in a tie for second place on the leaderboard.

When asked for her parting thoughts, Whitney stated, “You know, I already feel like a winner. This show has meant the absolute world for me. It’s changed my life, and I will forever be so grateful for the friendships I’ve made … to have this experience.”

She added, “Thank you so, so much!” Meanwhile, Mark said, “I just had the best time. I love this show.” He went on to thank everyone, from viewers to the cast and crew. However, neither Mark nor Whitney mentioned the other. That seems … odd.

Who got the top score of the night in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 10?

Robert Irwin and Witney Carson had the highest scores in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 10.

Robert Irwin and his pro, Witney Carson, delivered two top-notch dances. They topped the leaderboard with 59 out of 60 points. The duo’s jive to Baby, I’m a Star brought the house down. It was high-energy yet precise.

“That is how you tell everyone you demand to be in the finale. That was insane!” Carrie Ann raved. Plus, Bruno stated, “For Prince, only a superstar jive would do. You did that.” The duo nabbed the first perfect score of the night.

Next, Robert and Witney performed an intense Viennese Waltz to WOW. Derek called the routine a “ferocious Viennese Waltz.” Not usually how you would describe this dance style, but it all worked.

Of course, Robert is one of the front-runners to win the Mirrorball. With his charisma, attention to technique, and Witney’s choreography, they are the pair to beat.

What were the judge’s scores in DWTS Season 34 Episode 10?

  • Robert and Witney (Jive, Viennese Waltz) – 59 points
  • Alix and Val (Argentine Tango, Viennese Waltz) – 58 points
  • Whitney and Mark (Cha-Cha, Viennese Waltz) – 58 points
  • Elaine and Alan (Foxtrot, Paso Doble) – 57 points
  • Jordan and Ezra (Jive, Argentine Tango) – 57 points
  • Dylan and Daniella – (Tango, Cha-Cha) 55 points

Elaine Hendrix’s Paso Doble with her partner Alan Bersten was one of the best dances of the night. The duo danced to When Doves Cry, and their performance was powerful and intense. After the judges asked Elaine to come back with more attack in her second routine, she delivered.

After their Paso, Carrie Ann ran out onto the dance floor, embraced Elaine, then got on her knees and bowed. High praise, indeed! Derek noted, “You fought for that dance,” while Bruno called it “a regal performance.” The couple nabbed their first perfect score of the season.

Meanwhile, Olympic gymnast Jordan also killed it with her second routine of the night. Her Argentine Tango to U Got the Look featured jaw-dropping lifts and tricks. “Beautiful, powerful, focused,” Bruno said of the pair’s performance.

“You’re in a class of your own,” Carrie Ann said. “And tonight, that was the bomb!” Jordan and Ezra nabbed a perfect score, something that Jordan had never received in gymnastics. What?!

Final thoughts on Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 10

Prince Night was epic! I loved Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy’s beautiful and emotional Viennese Waltz to Purple Rain. “A performance like this is going to go down in history. This was so powerful,” Carrie Ann said. “I am so proud of you, Alix.” Derek added, “That was a powerful, passionate, and stunning Viennese Waltz.” The duo earned a perfect score for this routine.

And I needed a fire extinguisher for Dylan Efron and his partner, Daniella Karagach’s, spicy Cha-cha to Kiss. I loved it! Plus, Dylan’s brother, actor Zac Efron, was in the audience to cheer for his brother.

Next week is the Season 34 finale. The couples will dance three times. There will be a judges’ choice round, the freestyle, and instant dances. With a race this tight, the Mirrorball is truly up for grabs.

Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It will stream on Hulu the next day.
