RHOSLC’s Whitney Rose on ‘Powerful and Magnificent’ Mary Cosby After Church Sermon Scene

There are many layers to Mary Cosby, and Whitney Rose got to witness a new one in the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. During Season 6 Episode 10, Mary opened the doors of Faith Temple Pentecostal Church, and she invited her fellow Housewives to join her congregation. She delivered a powerful sermon, and Whitney reflected on how it felt to see Mary in her element.

Whitney Rose said seeing Mary Cosby preach was “a side we don’t see from her very often”

After spending Season 6 watching her costars argue on land, air, and sea, Mary said that her fellow Housewives could use “some soul searching.” Bringing them into Faith Temple Pentecostal Church just felt right, and the ladies opened up to Bravo’s The Daily Dish about the experience.

Angie Katsanevas said, “She shines. She was so beautiful up there. She was glowing,

Meanwhile, Whitney added that the experience allowed the Housewives to see a side of Mary they “don’t see from her very often.”

Whitney said, “She is just so powerful and magnificent.”

Of course, the scene with the “powerful and magnificent” Mary arrived right on the heels of the news that TLC would be launching a docuseries aimed at exposing the church as a “cult.” It’s not the first time these accusations have been hurled at Mary, but her RHOSLC costars don’t seem fazed by it. According to Heather Gay, the scene at Mary’s church really helped bring the group together during a dark time in Season 6.

Heather said, “When Mary brought us all together, and put us in a circle, and made us pray, and made us hold each other’s hands—bury the hatchet—we’re still in this together. Even though there’s a huge divide in the group. And we’ll make it through.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City continues on Bravo every Tuesday at 8/7c. You can stream it the following day on Peacock.
