Yesterday, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 4 wrapped. This final episode started with five recruits. But by the end, only two draftees were left standing. These two stars were the only recruits to complete the entire training camp. Out of the original cast of 18 celebrities, they managed to endure every grueling task, both mental and physical, that came their way, and to them, we salute.
The challenges this season were extreme. Almost every recruit had to push themselves past their limits at least once, including Brittany Cartwright. Yes, Brittany folded in Episode 1. Regardless, she still overcame her fear of heights at least once when rappelling out of a helicopter during the first mission.
As for the others, they were either medically withdrawn, discharged, or they voluntarily quit. Here’s a breakdown of the winners and their final statements after surviving Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 4.
Who finished Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 4?

At the start of the final episode, otherwise known as day nine, only five recruits remained. However, by the end of this same episode, this number had decreased to two. Starting with the exits and ending with the winning duo, here’s how these remaining five stars fared.
When pressed in the first half of their final mission, Andrew East answered a question in a way that pissed off his captors. He didn’t play his hand well. So, off came his armband, and out from the competition he went.
Kody Brown’s exit arrived shortly after. As Foxy said, “He knows what he needs to do, but he’s not willing to do it.”
As for our last rejected recruit, when Brianna LaPaglia settled into the final mission, our typically uncrackable Chickenfry finally broke. “No, no, no. You can’t do that to me. All right, yes, I lied,” she said, admitting, “I’m here with Special Forces.”
In contrast, Shawn Johnson East and Gia Giudice maintained their poker faces. For their efforts, these two stars earned themselves a pat on the back alongside a Season 4 win. Cash prizes would have also gone over well. But the only thing these recruits win is an ego boost for enduring their season.
What was the final exercise on the Special Forces Season 4 finale?

In their first mission, these recruits had to weather a grueling mock interrogation. As we watched, enemy forces “captured” them. And like Sergeant Jason “Foxy” Fox warned, an interrogation room, well, “It’s the last place you want to be, apart from death.”
Their brash overlord continued, “The interrogator’s mission is to extract valuable information. The recruits, their mission is to keep that information to themselves, but at the same time, build rapport.” To survive, these recruits had to fabricate stories to tell their captors. They then had to maintain their lies, even when various forms of water torture entered the equation.
During this line of questioning, we lost Andrew and Kody, as their captors saw through their covers. Following this exercise, the only thing left to do was send the remaining three recruits on a frightening final challenge. As they learned, their burials, complete with a coffin, awaited them.
The commanders had one objective. They needed to see one last time if any of these recruits might crack under pressure. And sure enough, Brianna did this very thing. As she lay in the mud, she gave up her true military identity, with only a few minutes left in the challenge.
Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 4 final statements

In his final talking head, Andrew reflected, saying, “What a ride it was.” He wishes he had “passed selection, but I didn’t fully understand the situation.” Overall, Andrew can “rest easy knowing” that he gave this gig his all, since he made it to the final episode without voluntarily withdrawing.
Similarly, “The withdrawal was very heartbreaking, but 100 percent I agree with it,” Kody admitted. For Kody, his stress levels were so high that he “shut down” due to his “stubbornness.” Even still, Kody feels “relief that I made it this far and disappointment that I didn’t make it farther.”
After the finale episode aired, Brianna went on Instagram, where she posted several stories to help explain her exit. In the first story, she joked, “I’m cracking up. I have lived so many lives. Like, who can say they were getting tortured in Morocco as a fun fact?”
In her next story, Brianna had her hand over her mouth. “Guys, I don’t remember this Special Forces finale AT ALL. I’m literally sleepwalking. OMG,” she quipped.
And finally, Brianna stressed that in every season she has watched, the recruits “were supposed to say you were in Special Forces to win. Hahahahah, diva was confused.”
As for the winning duo, Gia stressed that she and Shawn were now “bonded for life.” But as she later confessed to US Weekly, receiving positive “acknowledgement from the Directing Staff” felt surreal. So when we watched her reactions, what we all really saw was Gia still “processing” her win.
Likewise, Shawn recognized that she was lucky to “have a happy ending to all the hardship” this season.
Special Forces is streaming on Hulu.
