The Real Housewives of New Jersey, otherwise known as the Teresa Giudice and Friends Show, has given so much to pop culture. Tre’s table flip. The world’s most dramatic christening, thanks to Joe Gorga. Caroline Manzo’s “family is thick as thieves” quote. Sprinkle cookies. And, most recently, Gia Giudice’s dramatic song about her parents feuding with the Gorgas getting the viral TikTok treatment.
For months, people have been “waking up in the morning, thinking about so many things” on the app. The song is the perfect sound to describe feeling like your life’s a mess. Even though my personal fav Gia song is Milania Giudice’s 5th birthday bop. “First you were one, then you were two.” Arguably more iconic than Melissa Gorga’s “On Display”.
And while Tre and Joe Giudice haven’t been the best at handling their finances in the past, this family knows how to make money. Tre and Tarzan went from Sizzle Tan ads to Instagram swipe-ups and book deals. Hell, half of the Giudice girls have Cameo profiles of their own so fans can receive personalized videos. They’ve gotta fund Tre’s pineapple addiction and fabulicious lifestyle somehow. And that somehow is through sponsored posts. You gotta respect the hustle.
Teresa Giudice, the Tom Brady of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, has gone through a lot during her 10+ years on the show. We’ve watched her daughters grow up (Milania [Giudice], Milannnnnnia I remember when you were first born). We’ve seen her lose her parents. She went “to camp” due to her legal issues with Joe Giudice. She dealt with Juicy getting deported, a divorce, and hopping into the dating scene after a 20-year marriage. And throughout she’s found time to battle it out with her brother Joe Gorga and Mrs. Sprinkle Cookies Melissa Gorga. Tre’s really had a lifetime of experiences on the show, and somehow it always feels like she’s still just getting started.
The last season of RHONJ brought Tre a new man to handle all of her pent-up
horniness emotions. Luis Ruelas, as Tre puts it, is a gift from her parents in heaven. She considers Luis her “soulmate” and he’s planning on popping the question any day now. Luis got approval from not only Tre’s girls, but Juicy, her brother and even Dolores Catania. Dina Manzo doesn’t even have that coveted stamp of approval and she’s been friends with Teresa for decades.
Last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey ended with a megawatt bombshell. Jennifer Aydin openly accused Margaret Josephs of being the source of the rumors. Yes, THOSE rumors. Could Margaret really have stooped that low and done that to Jackie Goldschneider. The salacious gossip about Evan Goldschneider had such a domino effect that tore apart so many lives. What do you believe?
There’s so much unresolved between Teresa Giudice & Jackie at this point. There’s little chance a genuine friendship will ever develop between the two. After this much bad blood, it’s not looking like a plausible option. However, getting to the bottom of the rumor’s origin’s is paramount priority. It all comes down to what Jackie’s willing to believe. Will she believe frenemy Jennifer about Margaret’s alleged treason. Or will Jackie keep her target locked on Teresa?
It’s almost time for the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 11 reunion, and it is going to be crazy. During the season premiere, Teresa Giudice decided it would be a great idea to spread a rumor that Evan Goldschneider was cheating on his wife, Jackie Goldschneider. Oh, and Teresa decided to do this at Evan’s birthday party. Happy Birthday, Evan!
When RHONJ co-stars Jackie and Teresa met to talk it out, Teresa had no receipts. Then, Jackie made the worst analogy in Housewives history. She compared the cheating rumors to Teresa’s daughter Gia Giudice “snorting coke in the bathroom at parties.” Jackie stated, “I wasn’t starting a rumor about Gia. I was giving an analogy.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey had their claws out during part one of last night’s reunion. They rehashed the cheating rumor about Evan Goldschneider that resulted in a blow-up between Teresa Giudice and Jackie Goldschneider. Jennifer Aydin didn’t come to play, throwing Margaret Josephs under the bus for starting the Evan rumor in the first place. Joe Gorga was there to talk about his feud with Joe Giudice, his “marriage problems” with Melissa Gorga, and his offensive comments about Dolores Catania’s love life. But hey, someone’s got to put in the work from the Gorgas to earn that Bravo paycheck. And we know it’s not going to be Melissa and her fake storylines.
RHONJ dealt with a lot of serious accusations and low-blows all season long. Jackie’s analogy involving Gia Giudice and cocaine set Tre off on a tailspin. Jennifer and Marge got dirty, calling each other sloppy, among other serious insults. Tarzan referred to Dolo as a “broken woman” which is just the most ridiculous thing of all time. And even Joe Benigno and Bill Aydin got involved in the gossip about Evan, only escalating the tension between the ladies.
This season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey may have been short, but it was jam packed with drama. From start to finish it was an action packed season. It was chaotic once Teresa Giudice kicked things off with the Evan Goldschneider rumors. She understood the assignment. She came to COLLECT that check. Cha-ching. Jackie Goldschneider’s analogy about Gia Giudice was equally controversial and started its own fair share of drama. Yikes!
They weren’t the only wives knee deep in the drama this season. Jennifer Aydin found herself at odds with both Melissa Gorga & Margaret Josephs. Whether she was calling out Melissa for fake storylines or coming at Marge for sleeping with her boss, she was “on” this season. Toward the end of the season. even Dolores Catania who usually does nothing was at odds with everyone. WOAH. Andy Cohen has a tall task ahead of him getting these ladies to own up to their actions.
The explosive eleventh season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey is nearing a close, and I’m dreading saying goodbye. Unlike some other cities that filmed new seasons during the pandemic, Jersey brought it as always. And of course, we have to give thanks to the Giudice/Gorga family. We got to meet single Teresa Giudice for the first time ever, but it didn’t last long before she found her “soulmate” Luis Ruelas. Joe Giudice has been living overseas and being more faithful to Tre than he was during their marriage. The Giudice girls are all grown up and giving their mom dating advice. Gia Giudice in particular has been a major part of the story, no thanks to the “worst analogy ever” given by Jackie Goldschneider. We saw Joe Gorga literally kiss Frank Catania’s ass AND Melissa Gorga flip a cheese plate. It was truly everything fans could’ve ask for.
But as it comes to a close and we prep for a reunion, it’s time to look back on this explosive season. And how it all started — the Gia cocaine rumor spawned by Tre sharing a rumor that Evan Goldschneider is a cheat. It’s all blown over, much like Jackie’s tragic weave in the Jersey Shore breeze. But the reunion will no doubt re-open old wounds about this feud. Let’s not forget, Jackie even threw the “jail” word at Tre and we all know how that hits a nerve.
Last week Watch What Happens Live gifted us with a bunch of special episodes. The last episode was dedicated to the kids of Bravo. One takeaway from the kids’ special was that housewives’ kids don’t watch these shows! Another takeaway was that they turned out pretty amazing considering their moms get paid to be embarrassing on TV. Brianna Culberson and Gia Giudice get a special shout-out here for appearing completely poised during some awkward questions.
The best WWHL special of last week (imo) was the one featuring the Real Housewives of New Jersey husbands. They opened the show with hilarious taglines for Frank Catania, Bill Aydin, Joe Gorga, Joe Benigno, and Evan Goldschneider. Each of them were open to playing the games Andy Cohen threw at them. They also answered a majority of Andy’s deep and shady questions. But one question directed at Frank yielded the sweetest response.
