Paige DeSorbo is still the talk of the town in Charleston on Southern Charm Season 11. This season airs about a year after Paige broke up with Craig Conover. However, there’s still a lot of drama in the Bravo world about the demise of their three-year relationship. And while Paige didn’t film any scenes for the current season, it still feels like she’s a cast member… Here’s why Paige is still the main character on Southern Charm Season 11.

Based on how many times Paige’s name came up on the Southern Charm Season 11 premiere, you might expect her to show up. During her relationship with Craig, Paige often made appearances on Southern Charm. Usually over the phone or in person when she’d visit Charleston. However, Paige will not be appearing on this season. Outside of flashbacks or clips of her talking about Craig on Summer House, that is. At this time, she’s actually done with reality TV in general, as she left Summer House and declined other reality opportunities like Special Forces. But Paige still plays into multiple storylines this season.

Southern Charm Season 11 picks up four months after Craig and Paige’s split. And Craig is still reeling from the end of the relationship. When Madison LeCroy goes to his place in the Season 11 premiere, he notes that Paige’s easel still sits on his porch.

When Craig opens up about the breakup in a confessional, it’s clear he’s still deeply wounded. He even says, “I was betrayed by the person I trusted the most.” That might be a bit overdramatic, as I’m not sure a breakup really counts as a betrayal. But it appears that Craig was also upset over Paige’s comments about him post-split. When she first announced their breakup, Paige was very complimentary. She even called him the best boyfriend she ever had. But things changed once Craig didn’t defend her over cheating rumors. Paige also repeatedly denied Craig’s claim that he bought her an engagement ring.

Talking to Madison, Craig accuses Paige of making him out to be a villain because she needs one for her narrative. However, one might argue that Craig is doing the same thing. Regardless, Craig’s storyline this season appears to be about him recovering from the breakup and moving on romantically. So, I’m sure he’ll continue to bring Paige up in many episodes going forward.

Paige is the catalyst for Craig’s feud with Venita Aspen

Paige is also the catalyst for one of the biggest feuds on Southern Charm Season 11. It’s between Craig and his co-star Venita Aspen. After the split, most Southern Charm cast members sided with Craig. However, Venita always felt closer to Paige. So, in her words, she made a “conscious decision” to text Paige instead of Craig. Then, when she was asked about it in an interview, Venita said Craig was milking his split a little bit.

This upset Craig, who responded by saying he won’t associate with Venita anymore. As a result, it’s super awkward between the two co-stars. At Madison’s baby shower, they actively avoided each other. When Rodrigo Reyes urged Craig to say hi, he refused, saying, “I don’t like her.” Venita also left early to avoid hanging out with Craig at an after party. Complicating matters is that Venita’s BFF Salley Carson has a crush on Craig, and it appears mutual.

We know from the previews that this feud will continue to play out over the season. And it’s fascinating that Craig and Venita are fighting over Paige, someone who isn’t a member of the cast.

Paige keeps coming up both on and off screen. At BravoCon, Craig’s friend Shep Rose was caught on tape ranting about Paige. He called her relationship with Craig a “sham the whole time” and mocked how many followers she gained from it. He also accused her of “making millions of dollars off of reality TV’s back.” And he said she bit the hand that fed her by breaking up with Craig on her podcast. When Paige saw the rant, she commented of the supposed millions she made, “I can lend him some if he needs it?” Even Craig admitted his buddy was wrong, and refused to watch the rant.

That wasn’t the only time Paige clapped back to a Southern Charm cast member that week. Patricia Altschul doubled down on her claim that Paige wasn’t nice to Craig. When Patricia initially said this, Paige shaded her indirectly. But this time, she commented, “I guess I’ll just get married four times instead.”

However, Paige then deleted her comment. Maybe this was her way of trying to exclude herself from the narrative. Alas, it seems Southern Charm Season 11 will keep her as a main character in the narrative regardless.

Southern Charm is available to stream on Peacock.
