Jade Shenker is a top-producing commercial real estate agent at SERHANT, the real estate brainchild of Ryan Serhant. Additionally, as seen in Season 1 of Owning Manhattan, Jade is also a dancer. She is a lover of blue carpets over red, a fan of therapy, a friend of Anna Delvey’s, and an expert user of social media. And soon, Jade will light up our screens once more. Because thankfully, she is also starring in Season 2.
Only one day separates us from this eight-episode release. So, Reality Tea got Jade on the line for a quick chat about Owning Manhattan Season 2. According to Jade, this second run involves all kinds of storylines, including her “superpowers” and “pissed off” agents.
Jade teases conflicts and endings during Owning Manhattan Season 2
Ahead of Season 1, Jade teased, “Every single thing that you probably write in your diary happened within filming.” So, what can Jade tease about Owning Manhattan Season 2?
“In Season 2, at least from what I filmed, you get to see a version of me that is real.” Also, “you get to see friendship relationships and breakups,” while diving “deeper into why we do what we do,” Jade explained. And then, Jade went into her proverbial confession box, divulging, this season, “there were a lot of people I pissed off.”
As far as real estate dramas go, Jade quipped, “When you get sh*t thrown in your face, you need to really love what you do. And this season, you see a lot of crap thrown in a lot of faces.”
In the trailer, we hear Ryan asking, “Are you trying to do your own thing?” We then see Jade crying. What does she have to say about this storyline?
“There’s been a lot of endings to a lot of things for me. First, it was my marriage. And then, at a point, it was my friendships. There’s been a lot of endings.”
“And what I’ve come to realize is that sometimes what you think is good for you is just a lesson. And if I don’t feel supported by people telling me to fly, you know, push for your biggest dreams, then maybe it’s not where I need to be,” Jade added.
Where does Jade currently stand with Chloe, and does she have any Season 2 regrets?

In Season 1, Jade and Chloe Tucker Caine went from being best friends to bitter friends and then back again, mostly. So, where do things currently stand?
After filming, “The show made us confront a lot of our emotions,” Jade recalled. But thankfully, “We are on good terms right now.” However, remember those “pissed off” agents? “Well, “I think everyone kind of goes to Chloe, like, ‘oh my gosh, I’m mad at Jade,’ so Chloe has to deal with taking sides,” which sucks.
From the sounds of things, Jade might have experienced a complicated season. Looking back, does she have any regrets?
“Yes, I do, but I don’t know if it’s going to air or get released as a deleted scene. But it’s definitely a lot to unpack.” When asked if she could tease any names, Jade coyly answered, “It’s not who you would expect. But if you follow me on my socials, maybe you can figure it out.”
Will Jade experience high sales during Owning Manhattan Season 2?

When Owning Manhattan debuted, the commercial market was in “a weird place,” Jade explained. So, where is it today?
“It’s still weird, but New York’s always going to recover. It’s kind of like a soldier who gets shot here and there, but still wins. I really like it when things are like that, because you come in with opportunity and ask, ‘How do I get creative and how do I turn this into an opportunity?'”
Ryan once singled Jade out, saying, “All of her stuff sold. Not all of everyone else’s stuff sold.” Is her success rate in Season 2 just as high?
“I have a lot of success. Not everything closed. Some were left pending. But I do have a big win this season,” Jade shared. And this win happens “towards the end” of Season 2.
In Season 1, Jade created a music video for one of her listings. Can we expect additional fun sales tactics during Season 2?
Laughing, Jade answered, “I always do things out of the box. I actually think I have a superpower, and that’s understanding who the buyer is. This season, I have a retail condo on the market, which requires a completely different style of buyer. I also held a poker event where I had a rabbi and a pastor playing poker together on a table, and all the proceeds from the night went to a woman who had just lost her son to cancer.”
What’s next for Jade?
Recently, Jade went on TikTok, jokingly telling the powers that be at Dancing with the Stars, “Hi.” Does Jade really want to star on this series?
“I would love that. But I’d be so bad. I’d be so bad,” Jade chuckled.
However, Jade is “coming out with a denim collection this year. I designed the jeans myself. They’re like a pair of jeans that are literally the most comfortable in the world. We designed it so that the inner thigh and butt cinches, so it makes you look like you have a thigh gap and a little, you know, tush.”
Cue Jade, channeling her inner DWTS child to create a dance routine, complete “with a massive TikToker.” It drops “December 12. We’re doing splits in the jeans, we’re doing flips, we’re doing all these crazy things, so imagine if I could do this with Dancing with the Stars?”
I’m convinced. Sign Jade up, DWTS!
Owning Manhattan Season 2 is available to stream on Netflix starting December 5.
