Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King and her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds, have dealt with plenty of friction since their split, and things only got tougher recently.
Last month, word spread that Meghan temporarily lost custody of their three kids after questions came up about one of the twins. The situation moved fast and led to a court hearing scheduled for early December.
Now, the hearing is no longer happening after they reached some common ground outside of court.
Meghan King’s custody hearing has been called off
Page Six confirmed that Meghan and Jim reached a custody agreement. Jim’s rep, Steve Honig, said, “The custody hearing has been called off, and both sides have reached an agreement that is in the best interests of the children.” The details remain private, but the agreement follows serious claims involving Meghan’s care of the kids.
Last month, reports said Meghan lost temporary custody of Aspen, 9, and twins Hart and Hayes, 7. Outlets reported that she allegedly gave Hayes unprescribed ADHD medication and asked the school nurse to administer it. An insider said Hayes has not been diagnosed with ADHD. Another source said Jim and his wife, Kortnie Edmonds, received a call from Child Protective Services and traveled from Tennessee to Missouri to be with the children.
The same insider said Meghan received supervised visits twice a week while she prepared for the December 9 hearing. The new agreement between the exes cancels that hearing.
Jim and Kortnie spent Thanksgiving with the children. Jim also hosted a Taylor Swift themed birthday party for Aspen’s ninth birthday. He shared photos on Instagram and wrote, “What a week! A lot to be Thankful for @kortnieoc.”
Meghan posted her own tribute on social media and wrote, “My favorite female to ever walk the planet. A spectacular gift from God was born 9 years ago today. When I learned what love is. I love you Aspen King Edmonds. I love you to infinity. HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”
