It’s official. Jen Shah has been released from prison. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star was freed from Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas first thing in the morning on December 10, following several reductions to her sentence. It’s a Shahmazing update for her family, but questions still remain about whether or not she’s actually headed home.
Jen Shah served less than three years for conspiracy to commit wire fraud

RHOSLC fans have watched Jen’s legal drama play out from the beginning. We all remember where we were when those pictures dropped of her leaving the courthouse with a head full of box braids.
The feds accused her of being at the center of a national telemarketing fraud scheme. After screaming, “I’m innocent” for months on end, she pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
Originally sentenced to six and a half years, she began her prison stay on February 17, 2023. Last month, we learned that the feds significantly reduced her sentence for the umpteenth time, giving her a December 10 release date.
A report from People confirmed that she has left the prison as planned, saying farewell to A-list inmates like Ghislaine Maxwell and Elizabeth Holmes. However, it’s unclear when Jen will return to Salt Lake City.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons explained that Jen could have been sent home. She also could have been transferred to a halfway house to complete the remaining portion of her sentence. Details about that part of her release have not been shared publicly to protect her privacy.
Regardless of where Jen is, anything beats being in prison, and her manager, Chris Giovanni, previously said that she’s in a “positive place”. Supposedly, she has learned from her mistakes and is “not the same woman as she was before.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. You can stream it the next day on Peacock.
