Boston Rob is a legend in the game of Survivor. He won Season 22 of the show and has played Survivor an astounding six times. Since then, we have seen him compete in Season 1 of Deal or No Deal Island and Season 3 of The Traitors.
Recently, fans saw Rob in a surreal setting. He took part in the Reality Hot Seat, which is a blend of reality stars and NFL football. In this Peacock simulcast, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Heather Gay and Rob gave play-by-play commentary for a Sunday Night Football game. Life is weird, folks.
Boston Rob calls out a “really unfair” Survivor advantage

Now, Rob and Dylan Efron have a new web series called Everything’s A Competition. The duo met during The Traitors and are good friends. Of course, Rob even supported Dylan in the Dancing with the Stars ballroom.
Well, the besties hit up E!’s Hot Goss for a chat. When Rob was asked which advantage should never come back to Survivor, he was ready. “A few seasons ago, they had a twist called ‘Turn Back the Time’ where basically someone got an opportunity to reverse a decision that was made in the game,” Rob explained. “I just think it was really unfair for all the people that were involved.”
This advantage, officially called the “Change History Advantage” or “Hourglass Advantage,” made it’s one and done debut in Season 41. It allowed one exiled contestant to take away immunity from one group and use it for themself. Well, that isn’t cool.
Meanwhile, Dylan doesn’t vibe with the plethora of immunity idols. “I don’t love all the hidden immunities, immunities on immunities. There’s too many immunities,” Dylan explained. “It’s a little confusing for a new person to get into Survivor with all these different awards on the island.” For Dylan, he would like to see it become “a little bit more like the old school Survivor.”
Survivor airs on CBS every Wednesday at 8/7c.
