RHOSLC’s Bronwyn Newport Made Telling Confession About Husband Todd Bradley Before Split

They say that reality TV can ruin marriages, and Bronwyn Newport might be the latest example. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star has split from her husband of nine years, Todd Bradley. Her reps confirmed they came to this decision after “thoughtful consideration.”

Allegedly, Bronwyn revealed this tea during the Season 6 reunion, which will air early next year on Bravo. In the meantime, a resurfaced interview from before their split exposed just how much he didn’t want her on the show.

Remember in October, when the RHOSLC cast did that Desperate Housewives-inspired covershoot with Us Weekly? After the news of their split, some of Bronwyn’s comments about Todd in the interview are eye-opening.

At one point in the interview, Bronwyn admitted that Todd preferred she not film RHOSLC. However, it sounds like he begrudgingly agreed to participate because of the positive impact it would have on Bronwyn.

“I know Todd is so incredibly proud of me. He watches it and wants what’s best for me. If this is a pathway to things that are important to me, I think he loves that,” Bronwyn said in the interview, months before the split.

Of course, Bronwyn and Todd’s marital issues quickly became a topic of conversation on the show when they joined in Season 5. After that, Bronwyn said he intentionally took a step back from filming Season 6, avoiding group scenes and all-cast events. He thought that would keep his name from becoming a storyline.

Bronwyn explained, “What Todd was hoping for there was that if he wasn’t in the conversations, then he would be excluded from the conversations. Spoiler alert: he is not excluded from the conversations. They just happened when he wasn’t there.”

Although the couple’s relationship issues have already played out on screen, they’re now hoping for privacy as they navigate their next steps. It’s ironic, but you can’t blame them for asking.

“This was a mutual decision made with care and respect for one another,” their rep said in a statement. “They ask for privacy during this time.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. You can stream it the following day on Peacock.
