Ariana Madix and Dylan Efron have a new hosting gig
No one would have really expected to see a Vanderpump Rules alum and the winner of The Traitors to team up for The Voice, but what the hell. Why not? They’re all part of one big, happy NBCUniversal family.
The news of their hosting gig was first confirmed by Deadline. Ariana and Dylan will team up for a preshow for The Voice Season 28 live finale. A two-night event, things kick off tonight when the finalists perform both a contemporary and a classic song for the judges. Two wild cards are also getting thrown into the mix.
The second part of the finale airs on Tuesday, December 16, which is where Dylan (formerly known as Nicholas) and Ariana come into play. They’ll host a preshow recapping the performances and interviewing some of the finalists. It sounds like a sweet little gig that might evolve into something more if they’re successful.
After Dylan and Ariana’s preshow, Carson Daly will take the reins back and declare a winner for Season 28. The finale will also feature festive holiday duets with the judges, along with special performances from Khalid, Zac Brown, Noah Cyrus, and more. So, it’s going to be two nights full of music, with two reality stars squeezed in the middle of it.
The Voice Season 28 finale kicks off on Monday, December 15, at 9/8c on NBC. Part 2 of the finale begins with Dylan and Ariana’s pre-show, Tuesday, December 16, at 8/7c.
