Welcome back, Below Deck Mediterranean fans! Last week, Kizzi contemplated crossing a line with a charter guest. Meanwhile, Nathan made Joe his lead deckhand, which greatly upset Max. But when another deckhand temporarily leaves, two shocking events unfold, as evidenced on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 12, “The Forbidden Kiss.”
What happened in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 12?
Max remains angry with Nathan. Making Nathan’s job even harder, V is ill. But when a shocking temporary deckhand joins the yacht, Nathan grows pale, realizing that his past actions might soon bite him in his backside. Not shockingly, the same thing can also be said for Joe.
Kizzi “breaks up” with David
Kizzi and David continue flirting, but then, Kizzi snaps out of her horny haze and “breaks up” with this charter guest. “I don’t see myself being with someone from America,” she explains. Fair.
Kizzi next runs into Joe. Laughing, she calls him an “idiot” for getting “wifed up” with V. When he wakes up that next morning, Joe tells Nathan that “Kizzi smells so good.” Uh oh.
Captain Sandy calls Nathan to the bridge. Because the America’s Cup races are in town, she explains, they have to relocate to a new marina. And this marina is “tight.”
V is in the “thick of grief,” and her body is shutting down. Meanwhile, Max’s feelings are also large. He had dreams of being the lead deckhand, but Nathan picked his “best friend” instead.
Nathan teaches Max how to nail their next docking. Captain Sandy likes to see hands used when calling out distances, Nathan explains. But when Captain Sandy starts docking, Max shows her nothing. And when she asks him to show his hands, he waves them, looking confused.
The guests depart, leaving a fat $20k tip. David shakes Kizzi’s hand. Back onboard, Captain Sandy starts looking for a temporary deckhand to grant V some rest. Hopefully, this human is solid, because on deck, Max and Nathan are already squabbling.
Following their messy docking, Nathan is moving Max to the bow. “Ciao,” Max quips from his confessional.
Joe breaks his promise to V
Tomorrow, the crew has a day off to visit the Alinghi Red Bull Racing Headquarters. But tonight, they are getting drunk, that is, after they clean the yacht. As Max works, he tosses out little showings of “rebellion” at Nathan.
“V has a strong work ethic,” Captain Sandy notes. So, the job falls on her to force V into a break at a nearby hotel for the next charter. V hugs Joe goodbye. She next says goodbye to Kizzi and Cathy, who had actually just been talking about how Kizzi and Joe were recently flirting.
Kizzi wants Joe. She loves attention. She then acts out a therapy session, posing as both the patient and the doctor.
In her sprinter van later that night, Kizzi admits that she will likely flirt with Joe. “Stay toxic, queen,” Cathy laughs. But at their table, Aesha cries.
This non-toxic chief stew misses her man. In an honest moment, Aesha admits that she might not be able to stay in yachting much longer.
Kizzi and Joe leave the table to flirt. Aesha and Nathan feel worried. They don’t want these two hooking up. But Max and Cathy can, and they do.
Back on the yacht, Joe and Kizzi admit that they like each other. Yet, they also realize that V deserves better. But then, they move to an unfilmed location, and their mic packs pick up the sounds of two mouths, not behaving as they just decided.
As they makeout, their bodies come slightly into frame. “Noo,” Kizzi says. “Just don’t speak about it, ever,” she instructs.
Aesha and Nathan receive sweet surprises on Below Deck Med
In the morning, Joe falls ill with amnesia. As for Kizzi, she is simply playing the denial game. Because “if no one knows anything, then no one can tell V.”
Red Bull boats pull up to the yacht to whisk the crew away. Once they dock, these yachties start walking around the Red Bull headquarters. Midway through the tour, one of the “crew members” turns around to explain something. And as he turns, it becomes apparent that this is not a Red Bull crew member at all.
Instead, it’s Scott Dobson, Aesha’s fiancé. Aesha runs into his arms and weeps. He and Captain Sandy arranged this reunion behind her back, and for that, Aesha feels grateful.
During their boat ride back to the yacht, Joe and Kizzi agree to keep their tryst hidden. Onboard, Joe FaceTimes his mom. Crying, he fills her in on what he’s done, finally showing remorse for his actions.
Later in their cabin, Joe tells Nathan that he and Kizzi kissed. Nathan says nothing in the moment, but he’s disappointed. The yachties head to a Flamenco restaurant. Nathan once ate here with Gael Cameron, he says. He misses her greatly and hopes to win her back as soon as he exits filming.
In the morning, Joe decides he will tell V everything. Then, Captain Sandy calls Nathan to the bridge. Guess who’s coming on board? It’s Gael.
Everyone is thrilled, except Joe, who remembers butting heads with her last season. Right on cue, Gael’s taxi rolls onto the pier, and Nathan walks down to greet her.
