Amid the marathon custody battle with his ex-wife Meghan Mullen, Travis Mullen has successfully reinstated custody of his son. According to court documents, the former couple faced each other in court on November 18.
Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter and Travis have been together for six years. They live happily in their OC home with their shared six children. Unfortunately, they briefly split in 2024 due to Meghan causing stress within their family. At the time, Gina said she “felt unsafe” due to Travis and Meghan’s contentious relationship.
Travis Mullen has had custody of his son with ex-wife Meghan reinstated
According to Us Weekly, Meghan was ordered to bring Joseph to court and turn him over to his dad. She was also ordered not to have any contact with the boy until December 6. Following that date, she would be allowed monitored visitation, while Travis will have temporary physical custody.
Additionally, the judge ordered both parents to refrain from using illegal drugs while they have custody of their three children. Furthermore, if Travis requests a drug test from his ex, she must submit to drug testing within six hours. Should Meghan fail two consecutive drug tests, her custody will immediately be suspended.
Travis was forced to take his ex to court after his ex refused to allow him to see his son for an extended period of time. Though he reached out to local police, they weren’t “helpful,” Travis said. Not only was he “concerned” for the child’s safety, but he felt “the system [had] completely failed” him.
After Meghan kept their son out of school multiple times, Travis had no choice but to take his ex-wife back to court. In addition to denying Travis’ allegations, Meghan falsely claimed that Joseph didn’t want to see his dad.
The ex-spouses are scheduled to appear back in court in January to update the judge.
