2025 has been quite the year for Dylan Efron. In just one year, he went from being known as “Zac Efron’s little brother” to winning The Traitors, becoming a finalist on Dancing with the Stars, and booking new gigs left and right. He also just launched a new show on YouTube with Boston Rob Mariano.
It’s been quite a journey, and Dylan has been generous enough to thirst trap his way through it all. Now, he’s starting to look ahead to his next big role — becoming a daddy.
Dylan is “excited for that next chapter”
At the 2025 iHeartRadio 102.7 KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball, Dylan chatted with People about his and Boston Rob’s new YouTube series, Everything’s a Competition. During their conversation, he reflected on his bromance with Rob and how seeing him navigate fatherhood has him contemplating his own future.
Rob has four daughters, and Dylan gushed about being able to see him on daddy duty. He said that the Rob that we met on Survivor is far from the doting dad he is at home.
“He’s an amazing dad,” Dylan said. “It shows in everything he does.”
He continued, “We all grew up watching him on TV, and you see the cutthroatness, but in real life, he’s got such a big heart.”
According to Dylan, conversations about his own fatherhood journey started coming up while he was competing on Dancing with the Stars. When he brought his little sister, Olivia, out on stage for Dedication Night, that put him in a new light.
“It all started with Olivia,” Dylan remarked.
Dylan explained that Rob isn’t pushing him to become a dad or anything, but he’s open to the idea. He said that he’s “excited for that next chapter.” We hope his girlfriend, Courtney, feels the same way.
Either way, there’s no rush. For now, Dylan is just focused on keeping the momentum from his triumphant year.
“Gosh, I feel so lucky,” Dylan said. “This year has been incredible. So I’m not even going to try to separate it. Let’s just keep going.”
