Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Potomac has reached a new level of absurdity with this new Ashley Darby storyline. In the latest episode, we learned that she hooked up with Jackson Jordan. He’s the son of her former castmate, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan.
On camera, Charrisse seemed to take that news on the chin. Now that some time has passed, she’s upset and calling out Ashley for the “incestual” hookup. However, Ashley isn’t backing down.
Ashley and Charrisse have been calling each other out
We first learned about this Ashley and Jackson hookup during RHOP Season 10 Episode 12. At first, Ashley called it a “little smooch” before revealing that things might have gone further. Ashley told Charrisse privately, who then wound up bringing Jackson to the family-friendly Potomac and Ponies event.
Since the episode aired, RHOP fans have been furiously debating the situation online. Some folks felt like Ashley crossed a line, and during a new interview on Carlos King’s Reality with the King podcast, Charrisse added fuel to the fire.
Charrisse said, “Ashley has been lying for ten years. So when she’s saying this to me, I’m honestly waiting for the prank or … I did not believe her. In my head, I’m thinking, I know she is not that desperate for a storyline that she’s bringing my son into this.”
According to Charrisse, there’s a “double standard” with the Housewives. She felt like if this happened with one of Gizelle Bryant’s daughters, for example, the conversation would have been different.
“For the record, my friends, none of them would ever do such a thing. The way I grew up, when your…your friends’ kids become your kids,’ Charrisse continued. “No matter what the age is. They become your kids. And so, to be interested in your friend’s kid that you now consider like a brother or nephew, it’s incestual to me.”
As Charrisse’s interview made the rounds on social media, Ashley took to her Instagram Live to clap back. She called out her former costar for changing her tune off-screen because, as we saw in Episode 12, Charrisse appeared to be laughing and unbothered by the hookup.
Ashley said, “I will say I appreciate people who maintain the same energy that they had during the season in the offseason. I find it very odd for people to get buck when the cameras go down. Very strange behavior to me, number one. Number two, I am a consenting adult, thankfully, consenting, who only engages with other consenting adults.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs on Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock.
